Either Brie Larson and Elijah Allan-Blitz are back on, or he’s very supportive of his former flame. Nearly two months after Brie, 33, told Harper’s Bazaar that she and Elijah, 36, were done, the two reunited in Rome. Brie attended a May 12 press conference for her new film, as she’s part of the all-star cast of Fast X. When the presser was over, she stepped out of the Cinema Barberini with Elijah by her side.

Brie sported a strapless black top tucked into a pair of high-waisted jeans. Elijah wore faded denim, a white top, and a dark jacket. While Brie let her long locks flow in the Italian air, Elijah tucked his curly locks underneath a cap. The two passed the barricade near the theatre, past the fans taking photos of them on their phones.

This reunion comes after Brie indicated that their romance was no more. “What I always come back to is, I have to live with myself in a way that nobody else has to,” she said in a Harper’s Bazaar interview in late March 2023. “You can follow me around on set and be like, ‘Wow, she really knows what she’s doing.’ And then I go home, and I’m like, ‘I don’t know what I’m doing.’ I get insecure, and I think I’m not enough, or I have a hard time asking for help or speaking up for myself in relationships.”

“I don’t have a next job. I don’t have a home. I don’t have a partner. I don’t have a plan. I’m just completely open,” she added. “I have nothing left to give unless I go through this period of adventure.”

Elijah – an actor-turned-director – has been romantically linked with Brie since 2019. The couple was spotted making out during a shopping trip in Calabasas seven months after Brie split with Phantom Planet singer Alex Greenwald.

In March 2019, Brie spoke with HollywoodLife about her character, Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, and how important it was that her character not have an on-screen love interest. It makes me really happy because I don’t think there’s anything missing from this story because of it,” she said. “It doesn’t mean that movies should always be this way, it’s just saying, we can diversify even that aspect of things…our big loves in our lives. That thing that we would go fight for, to the ends of the Earth — that could be our best friend. I mean, that’s how I feel!”
