From friends to dating to exes to… engaged?! The Chicago Fire Season 11 finale promo certainly makes it look like Jesse Spencer’s return as Matt Casey could include a major moment for him and Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer).
In the penultimate episode of the season, Brett decided that she wants to adopt an abandoned baby, and now, in the promo, she says she’s the right person to care for her. “I want to be here, if there’s anything I can do to help,” Casey tells her, presumably in a conversation about that situation.
Then, after Casey reminisces about sharing their first kiss at her door, the promo ends with it looking like he could very well be down on one knee proposing! Watch the video above.
In the episode “Red Waterfall,” Brett waits for life-changing news, Herrmann (David Eigenberg) encounters a psychic with a grave warning on a call, and Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) finds a new lead on the Homeland Security case.
While Spencer is back for the episode, Taylor Kinney, who is on a leave of absence, will not be. In fact, the latest episode revealed — to Kidd’s surprise — that Severide’s no longer with the arson investigation program in Alabama. Rather, as Cruz (Joe Minoso) learned at the academy, he’s now working on an ATF investigation. We’ll certainly be keeping an ear out for any further updates on that in the finale.
