Savannah Chrisley has been having a rough time since Chrisley Knows Best was taken off of the air, and now it’s making her question her future plans. Savannah currently has her younger two siblings in her care since her parents Todd and Julie Chrisley are both serving lengthy prison sentences for tax fraud and evasion. Savannah has now taken a parental role, which seems to have shifted her views on having a family in the future.
During a recent episode of her Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley podcast, Savannah questioned whether or not she wants children of her own in the near future. “I’m in that anger part of grief right now. I’m just angry at everything. And also, after taking on the kids, I’m like, ‘Okay, do I actually want kids?'” Savannah clarified that she is not at all upset that she has gained custody of her siblings; it seems that the process as a whole is what has shifted her views. Savannah also said that she “loves these two kids more than life itself,” and it is the situation that has changed her mind, not the kids themselves.
Todd and Julie Chrisley’s Prison Experience Explained
Todd and Julie are currently serving prison sentences in Florida and Kentucky, respectively. Once they are released from prison, they will each need to serve 16 months of probation afterward. The couple is currently in the process of appealing their sentences but are struggling to do so. Julie seems to be having a tougher time in prison based on what Savannah has said on her podcast in the past, especially since the appeals don’t seem to be going anywhere in the court system at this point.
Savannah has had a rough couple of months since her parents began their sentences in January of this year. Since her parents were charged, their reality show Chrisley Knows Best has been off the air, which was their main source of income for many years. As previously mentioned, Savannah also has custody of her younger siblings and has to care for them as a parent would. Since Savannah is only 25 and was not prepared to be a parent, this has been a big struggle for her, despite the love that she holds for her siblings.
Savannah is doing her best for her siblings, but considering how unprepared she was for this experience, it makes sense that she may no longer be as excited about having her own children. Being a parent when young and unprepared is a challenge for anyone, but it is even more of a challenge when they do not have their own parents there to help out. Even if Savannah does not want kids now, maybe she will have her own kids in the future and have her own spin-off of Chrisley Knows Best.
