After much interest from its stars, Freaky Friday 2 is officially in the works at Disney with its original stars. Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan led the original 2003 movie, which was itself based on Mary Rodgers’ 1972 book of the same name and revolved around an estranged mother-daughter pair who swap bodies on one very odd Friday.
According to THR, Disney is putting Freaky Friday 2 into development, with Elyse Hollander writing the script. Currently, both Curtis and Lohan are expected to return.
