Getting Majora’s Mask in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a bit troublesome, but worth the effort if players have the intention of upgrading their looks or playing the game stealthily. The powerful and accursed Mask does not have such an impact on lore as it does in Zelda: Majora’s Mask, but it is a recurring item that appears in many games – in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, players could obtain and use it.
Players can once again get Majora’s Mask, now in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The process of reaching its location and actually obtaining it can be hard for starting players and those with few resources. It is best if players wait until they have a decent amount of hearts and enough weapons to tackle this challenge since a series of somewhat difficult fights await.
Majora’s Mask’s Location In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
The first step in obtaining Majora’s Mask is reaching its location in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The chest containing the item is inside the Floating Coliseum, which is located in Hyrule’s underground. As demonstrated by BeardBear on YouTube, players can head to the Great Plateau North Chasm and, from there, drop into the pit that leads into the Depths. By using their Glider and moving northwest, they will encounter a Zonai workstation, allowing them to create a flying vehicle. Aside from its body, there are also many fans and a turning stick to equip it.
Once this Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom creation is completed, players will want to board it and make it fly to the Floating Coliseum. The landmark is located in the Depths (-1129, -1182, -0499), somewhat west of the Zonai workstation, but will require players to move south to circle around a mountain that stands in the way. By reaching the Floating Coliseum in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, they can commence the challenge that unlocks Majora’s Mask.
How To Complete The Combat Trial To Get Majora’s Mask In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
Majora’s Mask is carefully placed inside a locked chest in the center of the Floating Coliseum. By approaching it, the gates to the arena will close, locking Link inside and starting the trial. The challenge consists of defeating five different Lynels in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. They appear sequentially and gradually increase in difficulty. For example, the first one is the Red-Maned Lynel, followed by the Blue-Maned Lynel, and then the White-Maned Lynel. After that comes the Silver Lynel, while the last opponent is the Armored Silver Lynel. These fights are difficult and require some effort or gear to get through.
BeardBear quickly disposed of all five Lynels by infusing his arrows with Ancient Blade in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which can one-shot most opponents.
If players do not have access to Ancient Blades, they will have to muster up a lot of Lynel-killing equipment to defeat all of them. However, once the trial is finished, the chest containing the desired item in the Floating Coliseum will unlock, rewarding players with Majora’s Mask in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
