From the beginning of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players can create powerful planes to fly anywhere. Within the limits of each player’s Zonai Charge, a Rocket or Fan-boosted plane can take them far. Additionally, by attaching items to each other with the Ultrahand skill, planes are easy to make. However, much like cars, putting devices in exact locations is necessary.
At the first Device Dispenser, Zonai Wings are available to play around with in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. To first make a plane, players must have finished most of the Great Sky Island Shrines in Zelda: TOTK. By attaching a Zonai Fan to the Wing’s base, players have now made a lower-power glider. With this glider, however, the fan can only take the Link so far. By continuing along the storyline, more Zonai Devices can make Link’s flight power stronger.
All Zonai Items Needed For a Powerful Plane
The Zonai devices needed for flying around a plane in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are:
- Zonai Wings
- Zonai Fans
- Zonai Rockets
- Zonai Stabilizers
- Zonai Cart
- Steering Stick
Not all these items are essential, as people can get creative around planes. For example, using a Cart underneath the Wings can position the take-off point easier, and instead of using a Steering Stick, players can move to different parts of the plane.
How To Make a Powerful Plane
Place the items that Link will use to make the plane in front of the player. Link can place the parts together by using Ultrahand, one of the five new abilities in TOTK. Remember that specific parts need to be at certain angles to work correctly. By placing a Fan directly in the center of the Wing’s backend and a Rocket on top of the Fan, the plane should take off faster than usual.
The more Zonai Devices are attached to a plane; the more Zonai Charge is used.
How To Fly the Plane
When flying a plane in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link can either use a Steering Stick or move around. The Steering Stick is self-explanatory and allows Link to direct where to go easily. Without a Steering Stick, Link can pilot simply by going to a corner of the Wing. If a player goes to the back, the plane will go up. Likewise, by moving to the front, the plane will dive. For moving right and left, make sure to position Link so that the plane can either stay even with the elevation or below.
