Rings Of Power Season 2 Will Feature The Creation Of More Rings, Confirms Star

More rings will be forged in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2. Despite the title of the series, season 1 did not feature any Rings of Power until the end of the finale. With help from Halbrand, who was later revealed to be Sauron in disguise, the elf Celebrimbor and his elven smiths create three rings that will stop the elves from diminishing and having to leave Middle-earth. Celebrimbor, Galadriel, and Elrond were last seen looking down at the three rings.

According to TV Insider, at a Rings of Power FYC event in Los Angeles, Morfydd Clark confirmed that more Rings of Power will be forged in season 2. Clark also confirmed that her character Galadriel will wear one of these three elven rings. The other elves wearing the rings in J.R.R. Tolkien’s writings are King Gil-Galad, who was in season 1, and Círdan the Shipwright, who will be added in The Rings of Power season 2.

Which Rings Will Be Made In Rings Of Power Season 2?

The Lord of the Rings reveals that three Rings of Power were made for the elves, seven for the dwarf lords, and nine for the kings of men. Now that the elven rings have been made, the dwarves or the men may get theirs in The Rings of Power season 2. Elrond’s good dwarf friend Durin IV and his father Durin III are among the dwarves likely to receive two of the seven. As for the nine men, The Rings of Power can show not only the creation of their rings, but can also show them transforming into Sauron’s servants, known as the Nazgûl.

There is also the ultimate Ring of Power, the One Ring to rule them all that Sauron forges in secret and will not be destroyed for thousands of years. Since Halbrand is now confirmed to be Sauron, and The Rings of Power season 1 ended with him walking into the land now known as Mordor, season 2 could definitely feature Sauron making the One Ring within the fires of Mount Doom.

In addition to those Rings, there is a chance that Rings of Power season 2 will include even more than the known 20. Tolkien said in The Silmarillion that the elves made “many rings” with the help of Sauron. Celebrimbor now knows how to make such rings, and if they can truly stop the elves from diminishing and having to leave Middle-earth, he could create more beyond the three already made. The confirmation of more rings being forged indicates that The Rings of Power will live up to its title in season 2.
