Spider-Man TikTok Perfectly Shows The Differences Between Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield & Tom Holland

A new Spider-Man TikTok epitomizes the major differences between how Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland each play Peter Parker. One of Marvel’s most beloved superheroes has been, and continues to be Spider-Man, who has been adapted countless times in live-action and animation. The latest live-action incarnation is the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version, with Holland portraying the beloved web-slinger. His last film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, allowed him a chance to work with Maguire and Garfield’s respective iterations of the wall-crawler.

While every version of Spider-Man has its fans, all three are distinctly different from one another. A new TikTok by @lovegodlovepeople perfectly summarize how Maguire, Garfield, and Holland’s interpretations stand out from each other.

Even though Garfield’s Spider-Man is definitely iconic, the British actor is more expressive when he played Peter Parker and moved his body a lot in his take on the Marvel icon. Hilariously enough, Maguire’s Spider-Man is a little more stoic out of the three actors, while Holland’s version was somewhere in-between.

Everything We Know About The MCU’s Spider-Man 4

When it comes to Spider-Man’s next live-action adventures, Spider-Man 4 is a priority for Sony and Marvel. While Spider-Man: No Way Home was one of the most successful MCU films, there has been slow movement on the next Spider-Man sequel. However, over the last two years, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and producer Amy Pascal have given a few updates about where they are at with Spider-Man 4.

The plan is to produce another Spider-Man trilogy, as Feige has stated that Peter will be one of the heroes to represent the street-level heroes of the MCU together with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil. While Daredevil: Born Again is currently filming, it’s unclear if Holland’s Spider-Man is meant to be part of that show in any capacity. With Spider-Man 4, no official creative team has been revealed, but there are writers who have been working on ideas for the next installment. However, it’s unknown what the status is as of now, given the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike.

If the WGA strike goes on for a long time, that could potentially significantly delay the currently undated Spider-Man 4 until as late as Phase 7. Even if Holland’s Spider-Man doesn’t get another solo film any time soon, he could still show up in other Phase 5 or 6 movies. Hopefully, it won’t be long until Holland returns as Spider-Man in the MCU, especially as Marvel Studios are building to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
