Overall, the sky islands make up a significantly smaller portion of total landmass than Hyrule’s main map, so it makes sense that there are signficantly fewer shrines located in the sky.

There are actually no shrines in the Depths in Tears of the Kingdom. For any Gloom-fearing adventurers, this is probably a great thing. However, there are still ways to fast travel in the Depths, thanks to Lightroots. These look a lot like shrines from the outside, and Link interacts with them similarly to activate the fast travel location. However, Lightroots don’t open up and aren’t accompanied by a puzzle the way TOTK‘s shrines are.
