The horseplay is far from over at Netflix. The official My Little Pony account recently dropped a tease at what’s to come next, and it involves a big celebration in My Little Pony: Bridlewoodstock. Check out the trailer, and synopsis, below.
The My Little Pony: Bridlewoodstock special sees the Mane 5 trying to stage a music festival during Bridlewood’s beautiful Lumi-Bloom, a gorgeous bioluminescent nature event that only happens once a year. Throughout their quest they race to book Equestria’s best and brightest artists, reunite old legends, and grapple with the unicorn legend of voice stealing Troggles.
That’s right, the Mane 5 are back and ready to party on June 6th! The 44 minute special brings the gang together as they prepare for the big yearly Lumi-Bloom festival. Joining the gang will be Ruby Jubilee, a singing sensation in Equestria voiced by Sofia Wylie (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series). Joining her are Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (Turning Red), Jenna Warren (Kody Kapow), Ana Sani (The Boys), JJ Gerber (Monster Pack) and AJ Bridel (Odd Squad). Wylie shares her joy with Animation Magazine.
“I am so excited and thankful to be joining the My Little Pony family as Ruby Jubilee. My sister and I have been fans of My Little Pony for our entire lives, and being a part of the Bridelwoodstock special is truly a dream fulfilled. There’s so much that I love about the series, from the music to the message, it really has had such an impact on me.”
But wait, there more! The dropping the same day as the special will be six new 22 minute episodes of the My Little Pony: Make Your Mark series! The quirky slice-of-life show picks up where the season finale left off. After a failed attempt at kidnapping the baby dragon, Sparky, the Mane 5 is on high alert. Zipp dives into her investigation on who the culprit might be. Meanwhile, Misty continues to play innocent with the friend group in order to try again at nabbing Sparky. But soon she grows ever closer to the group. With her heart torn between Opaline and her new friends, perhaps the fate of Equestria is in her hooves.
The Adventures Continue On
My Little Pony: Make Your Mark is the official fifth generation of the popular My Little Pony toyline. The series started in 2021 with the release of the Netflix original, My Little Pony: A New Generation. The series had big horseshoes to fill, considering it was a follow-up to the culture-shaking powerhouse that was My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The fourth generation series caught audiences by surprise with its wit, humor, and heart. The unexpected presentation ushered in a completely surprising group of fans, adult men that labeled themselves as “bronies.” Friendship is Magic premiered in October 2010 and lasted for a whopping nine seasons, ending in 2019. Alongside were multiple specials, an animated feature film, and My Little Pony: Equestria Girls, a spin-off which featured human versions of the characters.
