American Idol‘s staple Top 24 has become the Top 26 in the latest season, with the final Top 5 recently revealed.

Judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan sent Zachariah Smith, Megan Danielle, Iam Tongi, Wé Ani, and Colin Stough to the next round in the previous episode. Now 5 of the Top 26, the judges, and host Ryan Seacrest are in the final throws of the competition, moving on to Disney Night next week.

There are plenty of contestants this season, many with their own social media following. Could some online popularity be the deciding factor in giving contestants an edge over the ones with less social media presence?
