Examining the M2 Ultra Mac Studio’s performance and design, delving into the 15-inch MacBook Air, and detailing the hands-on experience with Apple Vision Pro, all on this week’s episode of the AppleInsider podcast.
Jason Aten takes the reins for this edition of the podcast, with regular co-host Wesley Hilliard. Together they continue the discussion surrounding what Apple revealed during WWDC, this time focusing on Macs and Apple Vision Pro.
Apple may have announced the Mac Studio and Mac Pro with M2 Ultra, but it seems most users will benefit from Mac Studio. While Apple could target more pro applications in the future with improved PCI-E support in an updated Mac Pro, it doesn’t seem necessary given Apple’s focus on artists and developers.
Jason got to use the Apple Vision Pro while he was at Apple Park, so he brings some insights to the show and discusses how it differs from VR he’s used before. While the headset is incredibly expensive at $3,499, it seems that all of the technology packed in makes that price tag worth it.
The show closes with a conversation about iOS 17 and how many of its features could Sherlock several apps and features. Everything from collaborative playlists in Apple Music to custom iMessage stickers and how they will affect existing apps.
