Star Wars actor Katee Sackhoff – who portrayed Bo-Katan Kryze in The Mandalorian – has hinted at a possible reunion with Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano in the upcoming Ahsoka series. While Bo-Katan and Ahsoka were confirmed to be in contact in The Mandalorian season 2, the two have not shared a scene together in live-action. This makes a potential reunion incredibly exciting and opens up more possibilities for where the Ahsoka series can take its story.
According to the Mandoverse Updates Twitter account, Sackhoff confirmed that she had visited the Ahsoka set but would not say if she was playing Bo-Katan.
Of course, Sackhoff returning to play Bo-Katan in Ahsoka is a reasonable assumption, given how many other Star Wars characters will appear in the show. Bo-Katan’s alliance with Ahsoka has been teased since The Mandalorian season 2, so it would be weird if she didn’t at least appear briefly.
Bo-Katan & Ahsoka Have History From Clone Wars & Rebels
In addition to building off The Mandalorian season 2, a Bo-Katan and Ahsoka reunion would expand on their history from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. The two were originally enemies when Bo-Katan was part of a terrorist group called the Mandalorian Death Watch, but after Maul took over Mandalore, Bo-Katan recruited Ahsoka to help her save the planet. The two remained strong allies for years, and while they never crossed paths in Rebels, they must have been in contact for Bo-Katan to know where Ahsoka was as she searched for Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Bo-Katan would be a perfect ally to help Ahsoka defeat Thrawn, as she would be eager to continue hunting Imperial warlords after the Empire destroyed Mandalore. Ezra Bridge also helped the Mandalorians before the Great Purge, meaning Bo-Katan would likely want to help find him. However, Sabine Wren will also return in Ahsoka, and there’s no telling how she and Bo-Katan regard each other now. All these possibilities make a Bo-Katan and Ahsoka reunion in Ahsoka very appealing, so hopefully Sackhoff was doing more on set than just visiting.
