At this point, they’re just laughing at you.
Less than a week after the president’s son Hunter Biden was gifted a sweetheart deal by the Department of Justice, he was in a tuxedo mingling with DC elites at a White House state dinner in honor of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Perhaps Hunter and Attorney General Merrick Garland, also in attendance, bumped fists.
Indeed, this was also the week we learned that two credible IRS whistleblowers have accused the DOJ, FBI, and their own agency, of slow-walking and then essentially shutting down an investigation into the Biden’s family dubious business.
One of the most damning accusations comes via an alleged WhatsApp message in which the president’s son cuts loose with a second-rate Fredo Corleone impersonation while shaking down a Chinese Communist business associate named Henry Zhao.
“I will make certain that between the man sitting next me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction,” Hunter warns.
The man Hunter says is sitting next to him? Joe Biden. As Hunter was trying to collect payments on work done in 2016 or before, when Joe was vice president. What “work” was done? That’s pretty vague.
The whistleblowers contend that the Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss was prevented from bringing charges against Hunter twice, and that superiors also gave Hunter’s legal team a “head-up” that the FBI was going to search a Northern Virginia storage unit.
When asked about the FBI’s mollycoddling of the Bidens on Friday, Garland promised that the DOJ “treat cases alike” and anyone critical of his agency was basically attacking “American democracy.”
Demanding citizens meekly accept their government’s word sounds more authoritarian than democratic.
It is clear the Bidens are above the law. If you don’t believe me, try writing off tens of thousands of dollars in hooker bills on your taxes; or try banking millions as an unregistered foreign agent; or brandish an illegally obtained gun while on crack, and then try dumping it in a garbage next to a high school.
See how that works out for you.
At worst, Joe used his position and power to personally benefit from Hunter’s foreign arrangements. At best, Joe lied to the American people repeatedly about not knowing what Hunter was doing — and never told his son to stop trading on the Biden name to make millions.
Either way, a proper investigation would have been a political disaster for Biden.
If Hunter had been charged, a prosecutor or a lawyer was going to ask him to identify the “Big Guy” mentioned in emails.
Someone was going to ask Hunter if his dad had participated in meetings with foreign CEOs, as emails and messages suggest. And Hunter would have had to explain why virtually every member of Biden clan had received funds in their bank accounts from foreign sources.
The entire episode is so transparently corrupt. Yet, the administration and most of the media — the same media that censored the Hunter laptop story during the 2020 presidential election — will ignore it.
And why not? Who’s going to stop them?
