Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the added 0.11%, while the index added 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the were Kering SA (EPA:), which rose 7.37% or 36.40 points to trade at 530.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) added 3.22% or 1.90 points to end at 60.88 and Worldline SA (EPA:) was up 2.10% or 0.71 points to 34.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:), which fell 2.80% or 2.06 points to trade at 71.52 at the close. Schneider Electric SE (EPA:) declined 2.02% or 3.26 points to end at 157.86 and Legrand SA (EPA:) was down 1.78% or 1.64 points to 90.26.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:) which rose 10.39% to 3.12, Kering SA (EPA:) which was up 7.37% to settle at 530.40 and Nexans SA (EPA:) which gained 6.88% to close at 83.15.
The worst performers were Spie SA (EPA:) which was down 3.60% to 27.86 in late trade, Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:) which lost 2.80% to settle at 71.52 and Elior Group (EPA:) which was down 2.61% to 2.68 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 285 to 225 and 115 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.01% or 0.25 to $1,981.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.24% or 0.18 to hit $75.84 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.31% or 0.25 to trade at $79.88 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP rose 0.66% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 100.07.
