Note that simply proposing is not enough to guarantee marriage to a specific character, as they can reject the proposal if their hearts are not high enough.

How To Propose & Get Married In Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life

To guarantee that a potential romantic candidate will accept the proposal, players first need to raise their hearts in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life high enough to ensure they will accept it. If opening the menu and viewing the resident’s page, players should see a list of all the residents and their relationship with them. The largest area on the meter is yellow, indicating a friendship status. While they are in this range, the proposal will likely be rejected. Instead, players will need to reach the meter’s highest level area, which will require at least eight hearts. Hearts can also be viewed on the same resident screen in the menu.
