In Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, there are several things to unlock and experience while playing the game. One includes battling through the Forbidden Forest against strong bosses, at which point players can unlock an important part of their deck, known as echoes.
Echoes are not a card but are still a part of every player’s deck. They are typically represented by a popular character and give boosts to specific cards in a deck and add their own ability to the fight. This allows players to give themselves an advantage when designing different decks.
How To Unlock Echoes In Harry Potter Magic Awakened
Unlike other aspects of the deck, which are unlocked via keys in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, which can be obtained through many different methods, the echoes can only be unlocked through one method, and that is battling through the forbidden forest. The forbidden forest consists of different challenge levels in which players will work through various stages before ultimately facing a boss. These stages may include dangerous enemies or simple resting points.
Currently, only nine different echoes can be unlocked up through level 16 of solo exploration in the forbidden forest. Though this may not seem like much, each level of solo exploration includes increases in difficulty, and unless players are regularly upgrading their deck in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, they will likely struggle to progress beyond the first few levels. Unfortunately, this is not a task that can be completed with the help of friends, so players will have to figure it out on their own.
Echoes can be upgraded to a certain point until they are maxed out. At that point, their benefits cannot be increased anymore. It is worth upgrading echoes players use most often, so they may receive all the benefits it can offer.
However, there are many strategies players can enact, which include paying attention to what cards work best in the forbidden forest. For instance, the absence of Summon cards is often recommended, as they are likely to be wiped out fairly quickly, and players will not receive as much benefit from them as they would in a traditional PVP battle in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. Therefore, players should focus on discovering what spells work best for them and ensure that they are upgrading them to their full potential before heading into the forbidden forest.
Thankfully players are given endless opportunities to face the same level until they can complete it. Something else to note is that if players fail when facing the boss at the end of the Forbidden Forest level in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, they will receive two more chances to face the boss before being kicked out and going through the entire level again. Additionally, players are not forced to face the boss again, they may also choose to leave simply after their first loss, but this will still result in players having to complete the rest of the level again before being able to face the boss.
All Echoes Available In Harry Potter Magic Awakened
As stated, there are currently only nine different echoes that include various popular Harry Potter characters. However, many more will likely be added as the game ages. Each of the echoes is unlocked at its own point, and each one has different benefits. So players will want to evaluate which benefits will be of the most help to them by considering what they need for their deck in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. The first echo the players will receive upon tutorial explanation of the echoes in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is Dobby, and from there, players will be able to unlock the rest of the characters.

Once all are unlocked, players can pick and choose how they would like to use them to their advantage. Note that there are often several versions of the same echo, and certain ones will be able to do different things. For example, one version of Snape may only affect two cards, while another version may affect five or more. Additionally, different echoes affect the deck differently but keep in mind that each has its own ability. For example, Dobby can add more steps back to the player in battle, while Snape will randomly appear to attack an enemy with Sectumsempra. Regardless of which Echo players choose to take advantage of, the method for unlocking all of them remains in the Forbidden Forest of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened.
