Interscope Geffen A&M Promotes Four Executives in Leadership Roles – Billboard

Interscope Geffen A&M has elevated four of its top-level executives into new roles, the company announced Thursday (July 20). The promotions include Michelle An, who has been named president of creative strategy; Gary Kelly, who is now general manager of Interscope and executive vp/chief revenue officer for IGA; and Sam Riback and Nicole Wyskoarko, who have both been named president of A&R.

“Each of these four executives has played an integral role in propelling Interscope Geffen A&M to become one of the most consistently successful music and culture companies in the world,” said IGA chairman/CEO John Janick in a statement. “In doing so, they and the amazing teams that they lead have made IGA a magnet for some of the world’s most talented artists. These promotions recognize their innumerable contributions and ensure our success for years to come.”

All four executives were previously in roles related to their new titles. An had been executive vp/head of creative, helping IGA’s artists on their creative endeavors and building their global brands, and will now lead the creative vision for the entire label, as well as overseeing pop and rock marketing alongside executive vp of pop & rock marketing Xavier Ramos. Kelly had previously held the chief revenue officer title as well as global head of streaming strategy, and will now add oversight of several revenue and marketing divisions to his retinue, as well as continue to oversee direct-to-consumer. Riback and Wyskoarko were previously executive vps/co-heads of A&R, with their new titles reflecting their stature at the label. Riback will continue to focus on pop and rock, while Wyskoarko will continue leading urban A&R efforts, as they had done previously.

“Michelle, Gary, Sam and Nicole are true leaders in our industry,” IGA’s longtime vice chairman Steve Berman said in a statement. “They have each built incredible teams that help to empower our artists to have the very best chances of global success. We are so happy to be able to recognize their efforts as they continue to build upon what we’ve created at IGA.”
