A leaked image, purportedly showing iPhone 15 screen glass and protectors, may provide supporting evidence to the rumor that certain models may feature thinner bezels.
In March, a prominent leaker known as Ice Universe claimed that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have the thinnest bezels ever found on a smartphone. In a new tweet on Monday, Ice Universe shared a new image of wht they identify as the glass displays and third-party screen protectors from the iPhone 15 lineup.
The image reveals eight screens, with the lower four identified as iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Notably, the screens belonging to the iPhone 15 Pro models have slimmer bezels compared to the other two variants.
Ice Universe was the one who shared alleged CAD drawings of the device in February, and has backed up their previous leak with the new image. Additionally, the screen for the iPhone 15 doesn’t show a notch, corroborating another rumor.
In 2022, display analyst Ross Young expressed his belief that the Dynamic Island feature, initially introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro models, would extend to encompass the entire iPhone 15 lineup. It would require Apple to modify the cutouts in the iPhone display, allowing for the implementation of the UI feature.
Ice Universe has a good track record for iPhone leaks, including the prediction of a smaller notch on the iPhone 13. Nevertheless, we won’t know for certain until Apple officially announces the new iPhones later in 2023.
