With multiple versions of Gwen Stacy teased to appear in the trilogy finale, Stone, who played Gwen Stacy in both The Amazing Spider-Man movies, could potentially appear as one of Gwen’s variants in the delayed Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
On Instagram, digital artist @venomhology shared a stylized look at Stone as the live-action Spider-Woman Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
The fan art comes after a famous Hollywood hairstylist shared a photo of Stone looking like Spider-Woman Gwen Stacy, with the actress’ new look being very similar to the animated character.
How Likely Is Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacy To Appear Again?
Stone’s last appearance as Gwen Stacy did not end well for the character, as Gwen fell to her death in 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. That event deeply impacted Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man, making him grow bitter and stop pulling his punches against villains, as was revealed when Garfield returned as his version of Peter Parker in the multiversal Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Since the Marvel Cinematic Universe brought together Garfield, Tobey Maguire, and Tom Holland as their versions of Spider-Man, Stone making a return as Gwen Stacy in a future MCU project that centers on the multiverse like 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars is a real possibility.
