Bob’s Watchesis one of the world’s largest retailers of pre-owned Rolexes. The online retailer posted $100 million in revenue in 2022, the bulk of which comprised pre-owned Rolex sales.
Chief executive officer Paul Altieri debuted his e-commerce company in 2010 as the Rolex Exchange, but after an acquisition adopted the name Bob’s Watches, a charmingly humble—and acutely memorable!
2023 has seen some very unique releases from the “crown,” so we asked Altieri to share his top pre-owned Rolex watches of the year—a mix of the best-selling and most in-demand timepieces.
Rolex Ref. 6241 Daytona “Paul Newman” with white dial
“This is one of my favorite watches and vintage Rolex models overall. This year I found myself gravitating towards it more and really enjoy wearing it.”
Patek Philippe Ref. 5711 White Dial
“As far as modern watches go that aren’t Rolex, I really enjoy wearing the 5711 with white dial. I like that you don’t see the white variation as much and love how thin and comfortable the watch is.”
Rolex GMT-Master on Jubilee Ref. 126710BLNR
“The modern ceramic GMT on Jubilee has been one of my go-to watches this year for travel when I want something modern and bulletproof. The GMT functionality is great and you can’t beat the comfort of the jubilee bracelet.”
Rolex Yacht-Master 42 Ref. 226627
“The newly released titanium Yacht-Master is one of my favorite offerings from Rolex this year. I can’t wait until we get one on the site.”
Rolex Ref. 116500 Daytona White Dial
“The 116500 is a great watch and one of my favorites. I love the combination of the screw-down pushers, ceramic bezel, and iconic “Panda” dial.”
