90 Day: The Last Resort features ten problematic reality TV stars, some of whom have improved themselves the most. The new spin-off premiered in August 2023 and immediately won fans with drama and bombshell reveals. The show offered a unique environment to Yara Zaya, Jovi Dufren, Asuelu Pulaa, Kalani Faagata, Angela Deem, Michael Ilesanmi, Molly Hopkins, Kelly Brown, Liz Woods, and Big Ed as they discovered their issues and improved their respective relationships. Over the episodes, these cast members have grown together and learned a lot about each other. They also figured out how to work as a team and be better.

Unlike other spin-offs that start slow, 90 Day: The Last Resort began with a bang. Kalani admitted that Asuelu lied and cheated on her in Samoa, leading her to sleep with another man. Molly shared how she started hating Kelly’s retired life, and he despised her for being a narcissist. Angela also shocked viewers by revealing that she had brought divorce papers in case Michael didn’t show progress. While a few weeks in therapy is just a short time, each cast member tried their best to improve. However, only a few pulled ahead as true MVPs of season 1.

Kelly Brown

Molly and Kelly are an odd entry to the show, as they aren’t married and don’t have a long history. Their easiest option was to break up, but they joined 90 Day: The Last Resort to give their relationship a last chance. Unfortunately, only one of them showed a true willingness to improve and become better. Kelly tried his best to work with Molly from episode 1 when he laid out his expectations from the relationship. While the retired New York cop didn’t like how Molly treated him, he still tried to be respectful to her and reap the benefits of the therapy.

Kalani Faagata

Despite the pressure, Kalani proved to be an absolute queen for working on her relationship. While the 35-year-old mom of two had every reason to leave her husband for his past infidelity, she tried to make the marriage work. Initially, the 90 Day Fiancé franchise star didn’t treat Asuelu respectfully, as his actions had hurt her. However, she slowly began seeing the honesty in her husband’s eyes, which led her to calm down and show her soft side. Within a few episodes, Kalani went from being distant to hugging her beau. She even blocked the guy she slept with.

Angela Deem

Most fans who’ve seen Angela know she’s extremely chaotic. The 57-year-old grandma is loud. She never listens to anyone and always does what she wants, no matter the cost. Unexpectedly, Angela showed a new side of her on 90 Day: The Last Resort. She began accepting her flaws, which she hadn’t done in her past appearances on TV. She also treated Michael respectfully, a rare sight for viewers who’ve been seeing her since 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 2. Angela hasn’t tried to be the center of attention on 90 Day: The Last Resort, which has allowed other cast members to shine.

90 Day: The Last Resort airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on TLC and Discovery+.
