All Wilderness Gear Chest Locations In Assassin’s Creed: Mirage

There are nine Wilderness Gear Chests scattered around the outskirts of Baghdad in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. These chests contain the Hidden One Dagger and Hidden One Sword, as well as their respective Upgrade Schematics. The last three chests contain pieces for the Isu set. Each item from these chests is extremely powerful and boasts a compelling reason to acquire it, but it will be no walk in the park. All the Wilderness Gear Chests are hidden in restricted areas, making it difficult for any assassin to find them.

Once you take into account Assassin’s Creed Mirages’ map size, you’ll truly understand how far you have to get to find each of the Wilderness Gear Chests. And, while the final three chests are all clumped together, they require a special item to be unlocked. Nonetheless, putting in the time and effort to find them all will reward players with some of Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s best armor and weapons.

Wilderness Gear Chests – Isu Set

The most sought-after Wilderness Gear Chest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the three chests containing the Isu set. That is the Samsaama Dagger, the Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar Sword, and Milad’s Outfit. However, you need to find and use Mysterious Shards to open these chests.

You’ll need 10 Shards in total to acquire each piece of the Isu set, which you can get by pickpocketing or assassinating an Order Member who has a Shard on them.

  • The Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar Sword – Lowers your maximum health by 50%, however, your damage is increased by 50%.
  • The Samsaama Dagger – Every fifth hit heals 10% of your health.
  • Milad’s Outfit – Air assassinations set off lightning that disorients enemies within a 15-meter radius.

Isu Set Location

The Wilderness Gear Chests in Assassin's Creed Mirage contain some of the best armor, swords, and daggers in the game.

The Northern Oasis is where you’ll find the Isu Set. Once there, swim into the middle of the lake and dive down. Follow the underwater tunnel until you emerge on the other side in a cave. Continue along the cave until you reach the room. There are three barriers in the room that contain the dagger, sword, and outfit behind them.

You’ll need two Shards to lower the barrier for the dagger, three Shards for the sword, and five Shards for Malid’s Outfit.

Wilderness Gear Chests – Hidden One Dagger

The Wilderness Gear Chests in Assassin's Creed Mirage contain some of the best armor, swords, and daggers in the game.

You’ll need to find three Wilderness Gear Chests in Assassin’s Creed Mirage to unlock the Hidden One Dagger and the two Upgrade Schematics for it. These Wilderness Gear Chests can be found in the Wilderness North at Anbar, Dur-Kurigalzu, and Water Mill. It doesn’t matter which location you hit first, as you’ll always get the item first, then the Upgrade Schematics after it.

The Hidden One Dagger’s advantage is that when the dagger’s poison hits an enemy, it activates a poison cloud that damages nearby enemies.

Hidden One Dagger – Dur-Kurigalzu

Dur-Kurigalzu is the first stop you need to make. On your map, it’s in the middle of the desert, just below Anbar. When you arrive, there will be a massive towering rock structure. Climb all the way to the top and jump into the empty pit below; don’t worry, there’s water at the bottom.

Now at the bottom, you’ll have to fight off some enemies. Just past the enemies to your left should be a big stone wall that you can move. Move the wall and pick up the fire pot that’s resting behind it. The next room will be directly across from you (or to your right from where you entered). Carry the fire pot over to the room and use it to blow up the wall on inside on the left.

Now follow the hidden path you just revealed all the way to the end. When you think you’ve reached a dead end, look along the left wall (the way you came in) for an opening to a massive well with a Wilderness Gear Chest resting on top of treasure. You’ll know you’re in the right place if it looks like something out of Indiana Jones.

Upgrade Schematics – Water Mill

The next Wilderness Gear Chests can be found at the Water Mill just below Dur-Kurigalzu. On the North side of the river, to the back left of the town you’ll find a small pit you can drop into. There’s also a plank you can use to walk over it to help you find the exact location. Drop down, and you’ll notice that you can move a structure that’s covering a door, and hiding behind it is the Wilderness Gear Chest.

Unfortunately, a key is required to open this chest. To find this key, head directly east to where the loading docks are. The key to the chest can be found in the water, to the left of the stairs, wedged between the dock and the wall. You’ll have no trouble finding it if you use your Eagle Vision. Then simply head back to the chests and grab the Hidden One Dagger Upgrade Schematics.

Upgrade Schematics – Anbar

The last Wilderness gear chest is North of Dur-Kurigalzu in Anbar. Past the Winter Palace and right along the North Shore will be a two-story tower. Once there, get up outside the second story and throw a dagger through the bars at the object highlighted red. It will open an entrance on the other side. Now just make your way in and climb the scaffolding inside to get the last Upgrade Schematic for the Hidden One Dagger.

If you’re having trouble locating the Hidden One Dagger, or its Upgrade Schematics, Lootwards YouTube video can give you a better idea of exactly where to find each Wilderness Gear Chest.

Wilderness Gear Chests – Hidden One Sword

The Wilderness Gear Chests in Assassin's Creed Mirage contain some of the best armor, swords, and daggers in the game.

If you’re looking for the Dagger, you’re probably looking for the Hidden One Sword as well, as it’s one of the best swords in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The three Wilderness Gear Chests that unlock the Hidden One Sword and its Upgrade Mechanics can be found in Wilderness West at the Abandoned Caravanserai, and in the Wilderness South at the Southern Camp and Spymaster’s Camp. Again, it makes no difference which order you find and open them in; you’ll still get the Hidden One Sword before the Upgrade Schematics.

The Hidden One Sword’s perk is that every fifth hit poisons enemies.

Hidden One Sword – Southern Camp

To find the Hidden One Sword, you’ll want to head to the Southern Camp. It’s located on your map below Karkh, on the far right coastal edge, just past all those ponds nestled together. Once you’re in the camp, the Wilderness Gear Chest is hiding behind the back wall of the only stone building in the camp. It’s pretty easy to spot, and you’ll just need to take out a few guards to reach it.

Upgrade Schematics – Abandoned Caravanserai

The next location, Abandoned Caravanserai, can be found in the Wilderness West. Draw a direct line to the left of Abbasiyah, and you’ll find this location near the river right along the map’s edge.

In the middle of this compound is a large tower. Make your way inside by climbing through one of the open windows above. Now, while standing on the wooden beams that prevent you from dropping below, aim your throwing knife through one of the gaps to break open the main door below. Now simply head back out and re-enter through the front door, and you’ll find the Wilderness Gear Chest in the room.

Upgrade Schematics – Spymaster’s Camp

The last Upgrade Schematic for the Hidden One Sword is found at the Spymaster’s Camp. This camp can be found at the Southernmost point on your map. More specifically, it’s on the lower land mass before the string of islands that begin to break off at the bottom right of your map. Fortunately, finding the camp is the most difficult part, as the Wilderness Gear Chest is easily found atop the tree fort in the center of the camp once you arrive.

Finding each of the Wilderness Gear Chests for the Hidden One Sword can be a little tricky. So, if you’re stuck on any of them, refer to Lootward’s YouTube video for some extra guidance.

Once you’ve obtained the Hidden One Sword and both its schematics, you’ll need the necessary materials to upgrade it. On top of the Upgrade Schematics, upgrading the Hidden One Sword to Tier 2 will cost 60 Steel and 30 Leather, and Tier 3 will cost 120 Steel and 60 Leather. The same materials apply to upgrading the Hidden One Dagger.

In contrast, Malid’s Outfit, The Samsaama Dagger, and the Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar Sword cannot be upgraded. But that’s fine because the Isu set, like the All Abbasid Knight set, is already regarded as some of the best gear in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
