The hatred of paying taxes is clearly congenital in the Biden family.
Witness the latest news about yet another deadbeat, in this case Joe Biden’s daughter Ashley.
Per a lien filed by the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, Ashley Biden owes her state income taxes dating as far back as 2015. The delinquency stretched until 2021, when her dad became president.
True, the sum is paltry compared to the millions Hunter failed to pay: Ashley owes “only” $5,000.
But for the daughter of a man constantly droning on and on about the rich paying their fair share, the irony is palpable.
And it is beyond disturbing to note that she too simply feels like the law does not apply to her, just like Hunter.
In fact, the relative smallness of the sum for someone connected to as much wealth and power as Ashley Biden suggests that it’s not about the money.
Indeed, given how intermingled Biden family finances are, she could likely take five grand out of what amounts to Biden Inc.’s petty cash drawer.
No, for her, it’s plainly a belief that laws are for the little people.
She’s a Biden; she doesn’t have to take care to pay what she owes.
Like her big bro, when he nonchalantly defied a subpoena from Congress, and instead staged a self-pitying press conference reeking of teenage histrionics.
Or when he seemingly smoked crack while driving north of 170 mph, endangering the lives of everyone else on the road.
Don’t forget the “big guy” himself, who joined conference calls and showed up at fancy dinners to help Hunter peddle the Biden “brand.”
Or how he helped himself to a bunch of classified documents and then stashed them in his utterly unsecured personal garage, only to act like it was no big deal when he got caught.
The Ashley Biden news makes clear that for her family, the idea of public service means no more than endless self-service and scofflawism.
