There is a Bravoverse theory that villains like Tom Sandoval will only get two seasons max as the bad guy. With Vanderpump Rules Season 11 set to be released, it is starting to look like Tom isn’t going to have his feet held to the fire when it comes to his explanation of Scandoval and the reasoning behind it.
Viewers will recall in March of 2023, news broke that Tom had been cheating on his girlfriend Ariana Madix with Rachel Leviss, leaving almost everyone shocked. Even though Sandoval and Rachel claimed their connection was strong, the two didn’t work out. But the implosion was fun for VPR fans to watch. Sandoval himself received a lot of backlash in the wake of his affair. However, as much as Ariana fans want to see him continue to suffer, there are signs that Tom Sandoval will get off easy in VPR Season 11.
Lala Hints Fans Will Be Torn
Lala Kent has been one of the most outspoken cast members regarding Scandoval. She eviscerated the worm with a mustache during the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion.
While attending BravoCon 2023, Lala noted that she feels fans will be “torn” when it comes to Tom. “I can’t give you too much,” she said. “I think it’s going to be interesting. Y’all are going to be torn. Yes, I told you all to go insane on Tom Sandoval, and now I’m telling you to kind of disengage.” What does that even mean!? It most definitely sounds like Tom will get a redemption edit on Vanderpump Rules Season 11.
Tom Seems Humbled
From the Season 11 trailer, it looks like Sandoval launches an apology tour to regain his friends’ trust. During the same BravoCon panel, Tom noted the season was “a lot.”
“It’s really intense, per usual, but it’s really short,” Tom added. He also noted that there may be a surprise twist. “I’ll say something without saying something,” he teased. “There’s definitely something that you don’t see coming that happens that’s not involved with me.”
From his comment, Sandoval seems happy the heat won’t be on him for once. Perhaps the other drama in VPR Season 11 will give him a reprieve.
Tom Schwartz Felt Bad for His Friend
Upon reflection, Tom Schwartz thought he should distance himself from his friend and business partner due to all the residual hate he received for knowing about the affair. Still, even the Tom Tom co-owner seems to be defending Sandoval.
The Season 11 trailer shows Schwartz saying, “I don’t know what the future for me and Tom looks like.” However, he has consistently spoken positively about Sandoval. One of the major storylines will be about the duo mending their friendship. Yet again, it shows how willing people around Sandoval are to forgive him for his indiscretions.
Ariana’s Heavy Words
Even Ariana Madix, the woman scorned by Tom and publicly humiliated, noted that the tides could be turning for her. After the trailer was posted, fans took to social media to share some opinions. One follower commented, “Mark my words, everyone’s gonna hate Ariana this season and develop a soft spot for Tom.”
But what came as the most shocking was Ariana’s reply to the comment. “Certainly wouldn’t be surprised if the audience swings that way,” Ariana wrote back. I mean right from the horse’s mouth.
In the trailer, Ariana is shown bringing up her lawyers and yelling at Tom about almost killing her dog. “Ruin my life, my home, and then attempt to kill my fucking dog. My lawyer will be dealing with you,” she shouts. It is beyond clear that living together wasn’t the smartest move on their part. Clearly, the anger between the two never dissipated. The former couple continuing to cohabitate created a pressure cooker, leading to Ariana blowing up. Unfortunately, this could cause viewers to feel sorry for Sandoval.
LVP Stands up for Tom
The Godmother of Vanderpump Rules has even found a soft spot for Tom and has come to his defense more than once. In the trailer, fans can hear Lisa Vanderpump telling Scheana Shay and Lala to have a heart. “To lose his best friend and his business is up the creek. Everything has gone wrong in his life,” Lisa argues.
It’s true she still has to be cordial with Tom because they are business partners, but to actually feel sorry for the singer is a clear sign everyone wants to put Scandoval behind them.
