The Real Housewives of Potomac has been much better since viewers have dealt with less of Michael Darby. The house-husband of Ashley Darby was a prominent figure in the series between Seasons 1 and 6. Eventually, his time on air became less and less due to his alleged problematic behavior and eventual divorce (are they divorced?) from Ash, and his antagonistic behavior toward the women, especially Candiace Dillard Bassett.
Since Michael’s time on the show has been overshadowed by rumors, accusations, (and criminal charges), the real estate businessman is somewhat known as a creep among his wife’s cast mates. Plain and simple. During an earlier episode in Season 7, Candiace brought up one of the rumors, saying that Michael ALLEGEDLY “likes to leave [Ashley] and go to a man named [censored]’s house and suck his d–k.”
As one would expect, Michael didn’t take those claims lying down. He filed a lawsuit against Candiace for defamation in March 2023. Since then, Candy Gal has had next to nothing to say about Michael (or Ashley), but now she’s speaking out.
Candiace shares about the “gross” lawsuit Michael filed against her
During a recent episode of the Way Up With Angela Yee podcast, the Real Housewives of Potomac star spoke about Michael’s lawsuit against her, describing it as “gross.”
“There is a lawsuit. I can speak on him; I just chose not to. He’s not worth it. It’s really gross,” Candiace stated.
Later, the former pageant queen, who has repeatedly bumped heads with Ashley, detailed her “hands-off” approach regarding Michael and Candiace’s legal proceedings.
“She says to me that she knows nothing about it,” Candiace said. “They don’t talk about it. And I believe her, only because the Ashley that I know, if she had information, she’d be going to the rooftops. She would be talking about it and so she’s not. So I believe she’s not privy to most, or any of what’s happening.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac continues on Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
