(Reuters) – U.S. stock index futures extended gains on Thursday as investors gauged a slew of data that indicated a resilient economy.
Data showed the U.S. economy grew at a 3.3% annualized rate in fourth quarter, compared with the 2% growth expected by economists polled by Reuters.
Initial jobless claims rose by 214,000 compared with the estimated 200,000 figure.
At 8:32 a.m. ET, were up 38 points, or 0.1%, were up 12 points, or 0.24%, and were up 61 points, or 0.35%.
