Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.12%, while the index declined 0.28%, and the index lost 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the were Continental AG O.N. (ETR:), which rose 3.47% or 2.58 points to trade at 76.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:) added 3.45% or 0.66 points to end at 19.66 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) was up 3.03% or 9.60 points to 326.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bayer AG NA (ETR:), which fell 4.86% or 1.57 points to trade at 30.75 at the close. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 2.40% or 0.82 points to end at 33.52 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) was down 1.75% or 5.80 points to 326.00.
The top performers on the MDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which rose 3.78% to 27.44, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was up 2.55% to settle at 76.28 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which gained 2.10% to close at 100.55.
The worst performers were Hochtief AG (ETR:) which was down 9.05% to 99.50 in late trade, Siltronic AG (ETR:) which lost 4.52% to settle at 87.65 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which was down 3.71% to 22.59 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which rose 3.78% to 27.44, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was up 2.10% to settle at 100.55 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which gained 1.38% to close at 19.81.
The worst performers were Siltronic AG (ETR:) which was down 4.52% to 87.65 in late trade, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.01% to settle at 39.23 and Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 3.97% to 88.25 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 313 to 293 and 40 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 2.59% to 13.48.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.44% or 9.05 to $2,045.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.12% or 0.87 to hit $77.14 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.99% or 0.82 to trade at $82.13 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 103.52.
