Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently announced the middleweight matchup between Top 10 title contenders Marvin Vettori and Brendan Allen, who will collide on Sat., April 6, 2024 in a city and venue to be determined.
This marks the first appearance for Vettori (19-7-1) since his unanimous decision loss to Jared Cannonier last June, a five-round drubbing that kept the rough-and-tumble “Italian Dream” stuck at No. 5 in the official 185-pound rankings.
That’s three places above the No. 8-ranked Allen (23-5), who’s been nothing short of electric over the last two years. “All In” is the winner of six straight, including last November’s submission victory over Paul Craig at APEX.
The UFC fight card on April 6 — held just one week before the UFC 300 mega-event — does not yet have a main event, but you can expect more fight announcements to start trickling in over the next few weeks, if not sooner.
Stay tuned.
