According to the official synopsis, Marmalade is “an edge-of-the-seat crime-tinged romance tale that follows recently incarcerated Baron (Keery) who strikes up a friendship with cellmate Otis (Hodge), a man with a well-versed history of prison breaks. As the pair hatch an escape plan together, Baron recalls the story of how he met Marmalade (Morrone), the love of his life, and their “Bonnie and Clyde” style scheme to rob a bank in order to care for his sick mother and give the couple the life they’ve always dreamed of.”

Stranger Things and A Taylor Swift Collaboration Rumor Have Kept Joe Keery in the Headlines
Of course, Keery is best known for playing Steven Harrington in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. With the series coming to an end with its fifth season, Keery recently discussed how it feels to know that the show that made his career is coming to an end. In an interview with Woman’s Wear Daily, Keery acknowledged how being a part of the series has completely changed his life, but the upcoming end of the show comes with both a sadness and also a sense of relief at being able to complete the story. He said:
“I owe my whole career to being on that show and all the opportunities that I had since are because of that show. So it’s very convoluted. There’s a sense of relief, there’s a sense of sadness. I guess my goal is to just really soak it up as much as I can while we’re doing it, and not take any of it for granted because it’s been an amazing ride with such great people, and then once it’s done, move forward and try to just hold on to the joy that we had when we were making it. … Everything has a beginning and the middle and an end. It’ll be nice to have the end of this too.”
As well as moving onto new projects like Marmalade, Keery was also rumored to be stepping into the recording studio with a certain Taylor Swift last month after being spotted at the Electric Lady recording studio in New York City at the same time as the megastar songstress. However, Keery cleared everything up during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last month. He explained:
“Well, that was a very confusing day because I was just in there with John [Rooney, a sound engineer at the recording studio], minding my own business, not doing anything, and then I walked out the door, and it was like a thousand people were standing out there. People looked at me expecting Taylor and were like, ‘Who’s this guy?’ Maybe [the rumour] would generate something. Maybe that experience generated something in the universe, but I don’t know.”
