The ‘trash walker’ in New York City drawing attention to waste

Sunglasses, food, clothing, insulin… Anna Sacks, better known as ‘the trash walker’ on social media, documents her walks in New York City – where she goes through garbage and salvages items that can be reused. She publishes her videos on TikTok, to raise consciousness and make people aware of the wastefulness. The US produces 268 million tons of waste each year, with the average American tossing 2 kg of trash per day.
