The newest Connections puzzle is available from the New York Times games section and today’s answers shouldn’t be too difficult for most fans of the word-grouping game. Unlike other days many of today’s Connections seem to make sense right away and most word groups don’t seem to mix well with the other categories, making today’s answers a bit easier than most.
Connections tasks players with making groups of four words that go together by a mystery category. There are 16 words to choose from in the beginning and as groups become solved the game gets easier and easier. If you’re having trouble with today’s collection of words we’ve provided some hints by revealing the categories below. If that is still not enough the fully spoiled answers can be found even further down.
Every Way Wordle Is Different After Moving To The New York Times
Wordle was purchased by the New York Times earlier this February, and with this change in ownership has come a few alterations to the site.

Today’s Connections Answers

If the Connections categories just aren’t enough of a hint, we’ve provided the fully spoiled answers below.
Symbolic Rods |
|||
---|---|---|---|
|
|||
Baton |
Scepter |
Staff |
Wand |
This one was the easiest as there aren’t too many other connections that work with all of these words. Wands, scepters, and staffs are well known to anyone interested in Fantasy-themed media, and baton fits nicely along with the rest.
Dental Terms |
|||
---|---|---|---|
|
|||
Cavity |
Crown |
Filling |
Plaque |
Crown was a bit of an outliner here as it could have connections with the above-mentioned scepter, but once you see cavity and filling, the teeth theme is undeniable.
Rubber Stamp Words |
|||
---|---|---|---|
|
|||
Approved |
Paid |
Urgent |
Void |
There were many obvious connections between this collection of words. When we solved this one it felt like ‘Checks’ or ‘Bills’ might be the subject, but it makes sense as ‘Rubber Stamp Words’ as well.
____ Year |
|||
---|---|---|---|
|
|||
Gap |
Leap |
Light |
School |
Usually the last to be solved, ‘___ Year’ makes perfect sense here and wasn’t as tricky as a normal purple Connections category can be. None of these words matched very well with things outside their category. The balance of that lies in the fact that they only match themselves in this one specific way.
