The Bravosphere has been waiting very patiently for any hints regarding Vanderpump Rules Season 11, especially after the hell that was Scandoval. Thankfully, Bravo dropped another tease which showed fans the new Vanderpump Rules intro. The day of the premiere is here, and now that I have my Pumptini and goat cheese balls, I am more than ready to dissect this upcoming season.
Raise Those Glasses High
Evidently, these are the best days of our lives. I have to agree with the opening tune as I’ve been living for the new season of VPR since the end of Season 10. The opening is giving Something About Her vibes, and the shop’s conspicuous yellow awning is still standing strong against the WeHo city council. The opening credits highlight Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix’s sandwich shop as the camera sweeps by a tower of goodies. Ariana is living her best life in a chic plunge mini dress. She even has a teacup in her hand, so she must be ready to spill the tea.
Katie didn’t look too bad herself and wore an upgraded emo look, which included a lace green skater dress. The interior of Something About Her is right out of a fairytale and gives Beauty and Beast feelings thanks to the furnishing and growing wall vines. All it needs is a talking candle stick to greet customers when the shop finally opens.
The opening of Something About Her was reportedly halted in its tracks due to permit issues. However, as teased in the new intro, viewers can seemingly expect to see a major update about the business venture during Season 11.
One Is the Loneliest Number
The new Vanderpump Rules intro also showed both Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz alone at their namesake bar, TomTom. This indicates these two still have an uphill battle with the group after the fallout of Scandoval. The clip cuts to the Toms pouring another stiff drink as they clearly have taken refuge in their bar after being shunned. After Season 10, fans did their best to boycott Schwartz & Sandy’s to show Sandoval that his behavior toward women wouldn’t be tolerated.
It looks like their business is doing just fine, though. Season 11 is Sandy’s chance for redemption after it was revealed he cheated on Ariana with Rachel Leviss for months. Both Toms are going to have to figure out how to make amends with the group, with most feeling betrayed. Even Schwartzy won’t be getting off light after it was revealed he knew about the months-long affair.
James is Thriving
Forget the Year of the Dragon, this is the year of James Kennedy! In the new intro, the DJ can be seen jamming out in the back of SUR with Lala Kent and Scheana Shay, who both look fantastic in sparkles. James is reportedly back on the sober train, as teased by his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, who is extremely proud of him. Perhaps the new intro is a sign that Season 11 will focus more on James’ career than his partying.
It will be interesting to see how James moves on from his witty banter, like “Worm with a mustache,” to forgiving the Toms for lying. James is officially the group’s number-one guy and will undoubtedly have another spectacular season.
Lala, Scheana, and James are all hanging out together in the new Vanderpump Rules intro. This could indicate that the storylines for those three will take a back seat to the continuing Scandoval fallout.
The Queen
And then, to close out the reel was our beloved fairy godmother, Lisa Vanderpump. Wearing her famous pink silk blouse with a black skirt, the brains of the operation seems ready to see the group forgive their errors once and for all. Initially, Season 10 looked like the end of Lisa’s empire. However, after Scandoval, Bravo gave the series one more chance to impress.
As always, Lisa looks confident in the Vanderpump Rules intro. But this time, maybe her self-assured expression is a sign that Season 11 will be just as impressive as Season 10.
