How Connor & Pavani Exposed Sergeant Kingston In Code 8: Part II’s Ending
The two jointly use their powers to overcome the common threat
Pavani tells Connor that King’s K9 units record everything, and their recordings are later used for training them. Realizing that the K9 that attacked Pavani and killed her brother would have recordings of the crime, Connor and Kelton visit King’s house. While Connor and Kelton distract King by engaging him in a conversation, Pavani sneaks inside his garage and finds the K9 she had shut down on the night of her brother’s death. Using her powers, Pavani keeps the K9 switched off, and she and Connor steal it from King before he can realize what they are up to.
Although Pavani and Connor acquire the footage from the K9, they find themselves trapped when King surrounds their building and sends his men in to capture them. Connor develops a new plan where he attempts to make it to a media van outside their building. However, things take a dark turn when one of King’s men stops them with his K9 unit. Pavani manages to take control of the K9 using her powers before it kills Connor. Unfortunately, she gets shot by the officer with the K9.
In Code 8: Part II‘s ending, Connor still makes it out of the building with Pavani, and while Officer Davis prevents other cops from attacking them, Connor uses his electrokinesis ability to power the hard drive in the K9 unit. While he is at it, Pavani transfers the video on the hard drive to a live camera with her powers, which telecasts King’s actions and crimes on live television. With what follows, everyone from law enforcers to King’s wife watches his crimes on television.
Aaron Abrams’ Officer Davis was also a part of the first

movie’s storyline.

Code 8 Movie Ending & Spinoff Setup Explained
The Code 8 ending wraps up a compelling standalone story about people with superpowers – but it also perfectly sets up a planned spinoff.
What Sergeant Kingston Wanted From Pavani
Pavani witnessed what the K9s could do
Code 8: Part II‘s opening arc revealed that King had busted Garrett’s business of extracting Psyke from the superhumans and selling it in the streets. However, he did not arrest him. Instead, he offered him a deal where he took a massive sum of his profits while letting him continue his business. Pavani’s elder brother, Tarak, who worked for Garrett, struggles to make ends meet and hopes to fund his sister’s education. To achieve this, he decides to steal from his boss by getting his hands on the money bag Garrett had left behind for King.
To Tarak’s dismay, King and his fellow officer spotted him before he could flee the scene with the bag. After King unleashed the K9 on Tarak, the K9 injected Tarak with a heavy dose of Psyke, which killed him. Pavani somehow sensed something was wrong with her brother and arrived at the scene to witness her brother’s murder. Although King and his partner tried to hide all evidence surrounding the crime by directing the K9 towards Pavani, Pavani used her powers to shut the robot down before escaping. Since she was the primary witness of Tarak’s murder, King fears she will expose his secrets.
Why Sergeant Kingston Was Getting The Superhumans Killed
King wanted to climb the political ladder and grow more powerful
Seargent Kingston was driven by his hunger for power. To politically rise in the ranks, he not only “tweaked” the K9 units to make them vicious superhuman hunters and killers but also lied about his abilities (or lack thereof) to his peers and his wife. Since the K9s were killing every superhuman criminal on the streets, the crime rate naturally dwindled, further improving King’s reputation in the LCPD. To capitalize on his growing fame as an LCPD officer, King also intended to stand for the Union presidential elections. However, Pavani and Connor stopped him before he could cause more destruction.
Our Biggest Unanswered Questions After Code 8
Robbie and Stephen Amell’s sci-fi film, Code 8, tells a cohesive story, but it still left many questions unanswered for its future spinoff.
Why Garrett Encouraged Connor To Get Pavani’s Memory Erased
Garrett’s initial plan offered a temporary solution to a permanent problem
Garrett initially suggests that they should get Pavani’s memory of her brother’s murder erased. With no memories of the crime, she would not be a witness anymore, and Kingston would spare her because she would not be a threat to him. However, Garrett’s idea does not go as planned. When a memory-controlling superhuman tries to delete Pavani’s memories of her brother’s murder, she starts destroying all of her brother’s memories, claiming that the roots of other memories could bring back the erased ones in the future.
Realizing what the superhuman is doing, Pavani resists and restores all her brother’s memories before they get eradicated. Connor then helps Pavani escape, realizing that Garrett and his team were willing to go a little too far to resolve the matter. Connor helps her leave because, unlike Garrett, he realizes that it would not be morally right to erase Pavani’s crucial memories with her brother just to hide the evidence of the crimes committed by a corrupt officer.
Garrett’s Failed Proposal To Kingston Explained
Garrett’s selfish actions lead to dire consequences
After Pavani and Connor get their hands on the K9’s hard drive in Code 8: Part II‘s ending arc, Garrett proposes that instead of using it to expose King, they can capitalize on it to blackmail the police force. However, when Garrett tries to make a deal with King, King refuses to comply and shoots him. King does this because he believes that he and his men can overpower Pavani, Connor, and the other superhumans on their side. To his surprise, Connor and Pavani soon prove him wrong.
How Code 8: Part II’s Ending Sets Up A Sequel
Code 8: Part II sets the stage for many possibilities in Part III
Before Code 8: Part II‘s credits start rolling, a news reporter claims that the inflow of Psyke has increased from an unknown source after Garrett’s arrest. Garrett watches this news on the television and smirks, hinting that he was prepared for King’s downfall and had already set up a plan for increasing his Psyke-selling business before being sent to prison. Since Connor is now responsible for the welfare of several children at the community center, Garrett’s criminal endeavors might put the two at odds with one another if a child at the community center gets harmed by Garrett’s actions.
Owing to this, the third installment of Netflix’s Code 8 series could feature an all-out showdown between Garrett and Connor. Since King is still alive, he might find a way to evade all charges against him and set out on a warpath against Connor and Pavani in Code 8: Part III. Or, after Code 8: Part II‘s events, the third film could introduce a new player who could force Connor and Garrett to bury their differences and join forces with Pavani to combat the mightier threat looming over Lincoln City.
Both installments of
Code 8
are available on Netflix for streaming.
