Well, my friends, we have a new Lifetime movie coming starring some of our own! Denise Richards and NeNe Leakes might not be full-time on Bravo anymore, but they’re definitely not down for the count.
Thankfully NeNe hasn’t made any execs at Lifetime mad because she’s been tapped to star alongside Denise. Hopefully, Denise will be able to form words and have her clothes on correctly because Hunting Housewives is coming in hot. People has the scoop.
Yep, I’m definitely watching this one
Real Housewives of Atlanta’s loss is Lifetime’s gain because NeNe is now putting her acting chops to work. She teamed up with Denise, along with Kym Johnson-Herjavec and Melyssa Ford for Hunting Housewives.
Here’s the summary: “The story of four housewives who find themselves stranded in the wilderness after a plane crash. They must use their wits and determination if they ever hope to make it back home to their families.” So I’m guessing the “wits” is also a paid actor?
NeNe will be playing a character called Rebel Carron-Whitman. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is called Karla Dodds (of the Casamigos Blanca Dodds). Kym is down as Joli Symons, and finally Melyssa is Sharell Bouvier.
According to the synopsis, the ladies are having a “much-needed spa retreat weekend away from their husbands, children, and busy schedules when suddenly they find themselves downed in a plane crash.”
Well damn, doesn’t that just figure? You get one minute away from the family and all of a sudden you’re fighting for your life and being hunted by randos. “With no knowledge of basic survival, the housewives must use their wits and whatever is in their designer bags to try to survive in the rugged wilds. When they realize they are not alone, even frenemies must align to outwit their hunters.”
Clearly, NeNe and Denise will excel in their roles as this doesn’t sound any worse than a typical Real Housewives reunion. The television movie is produced by Brain Power Studio in association with Nicely Entertainment. My lord, this might be just want we need to get us to Spring.
Hunting Housewives premieres March 9 at 8 PM/ET on Lifetime.
