However, Bibury’s past goes back much further. The area was first used as a hill fort and villa by the Romans, before estates within the village were given to an Earl in the eighth century.
Perhaps the most famous spot in the village, the houses on Arlington Row, were built in 1380 and were initially used to store wool.
Whilst the purpose of the buildings has changed, they still stand and can be rented by visitors as cottages for an unforgettable stay.
However, despite its quiet appearance, Savoo highlighted that there is plenty that tourists can do for free during a trip to Bibury.
Visitors can take a trip to St Mary’s Church, which has been a part of the village since 899 and was heavily restored in the Victorian Era.
For something a little more unusual, there is also RAF Bibury, an air base set up during World War Two that is now home to a classic car showroom.
No matter where tourists plan to travel for their staycation, Savoo noted that they can get the best possible price by doing their research.
They recommended holidaymakers should make sure that there is affordable accommodation, places to eat and transportation in the area they plan on travelling to, and see how much it costs to visit any attractions they are interested in.
In addition, Savoo suggested that tourists should always keep a budget in mind and not be tempted to go over it, searching for any discount codes that could help to reduce the cost.
