The highly-anticipated slate of upcoming Apple TV+ series has been released with some big-name stars and titles attached. Nine brand-new original series were announced at the 2024 Winter Television Critics Association press tour, which took place on February 5, 2024. In addition to adding several new original series and movies, Apple will continue many of its award-winning television series with new seasons of Loot, The Big Door Prize, Trying, and Acapulco.

Apple has already gotten off to a great start in its original programming in 2024 with the debut of the Tom Hanks, Gary Goetzman, and Steven Spielberg-produced World War II series Masters of the Air. Apple will also release several new docuseries over the course of 2024, including The Dynasty: New England Patriots on February 16. With these newly announced series, Apple will expand its already robust variety of original programming that features celebrated titles such as Severence, Silo, For All Mankind, Hijack, and Ted Lasso.

9 The New Look – February 14

Starring Ben Mendelsohn as Christian Dior

The New Look starring Ben Mendelsohn (Bloodline, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) as the renowned French fashion designer Christian Dior will premiere on February 14. Mendelsohn will star alongside Juliette Binoche, who is set to portray Coco Chanel in the historical drama series that was filmed entirely in Paris, France. The 10-part series will also explore the inescapable influences of World War II on Nazi-occupied Paris. The series follows Dior and Chanel as they establish the modern sensibilities of high fashion as contemporaries, competitors, and leaders in their field.

The New Look

8 Constellation – February 21

An 8-part outer space thriller

The new Apple TV+ series Constellation premieres a week after The New Look on February 21. Marketed with the tagline, “Reality is a conspiracy,” the space thriller is expected to have psychological elements in its plot based on its premise alone. Constellation revolves around an astronaut named Jo, played by Noomi Rapace, who returns to Earth after a near-fatal disaster in outer space and discovers that parts of her life are missing. Emmy Award nominee Johnathan Banks (Breaking Bad) also stars in the series, which was created and written by Peter Harness.

The series explores the events leading up to and immediately after the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln (Hamish Linklater) by John Wilkes Booth (Anthony Boyle). The 7-part true crime series also stars Emmy Award-winner Tobias Menzies (The Crown) as Edwin Stanton and will chronicle the mass search for Booth following the death of Lincoln. The series is adapted from the bestselling book Manhunt written by James L. Swanson.

5 Palm Royale – March 20

Kristen Wiig will star in a 6-part period-piece comedy series Palm Royale, which is currently slated for a March 20 release. The new Apple TV+ series, set in Palm Beach, Florida, will feature Wiig as Maxine Simmons, an eager socialite who is determined to become an established member of Palm Beach’s bustling social scene by reinventing her identity. Palm Royale has a star-studded cast that includes Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Leslie Bibb, Bruce Dern, Carol Burnett, and Ricky Martin. The series is loosely based on the novel Mr. & Mrs. American Pie written by Juliet McDaniel.

4 Sugar – April 5

Another highly anticipated new series from Apple is Sugar starring Colin Farrell (The Batman, In Bruges). The Oscar-nominated actor will play private detective John Sugar who investigates the mysterious disappearance of Olivia Siegel, the granddaughter of renowned Hollywood producer Johnathan Siegel. The series, created by Mark Protosevich (Oldboy, I Am Legend) will be set in the present day and does not appear to be based on any particular true story. Sugar will also feature performances by Kirby, Amy Ryan, James Cromwell, and Anna Gunn.

3 Franklin – April 12

2 Dark Matter – May 8

The new Apple TV+ series Dark Matter starring Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly will premiere on May 8, 2024. The sci-fi thriller series is based on the immensely popular book of the same name written by Blake Crouch, which is widely considered one of the greatest sci-fi novels of the 2010s. The 9-part series features an ensemble cast led by Edgerton and Connelly as well as Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Dayo Okeniyi, and Oakes Fegley. The story follows physicist and professor Jason Dessen (Edgerton) who is kidnapped and somehow taken into an alternate version of his life.

1 Presumed Innocent – June 14

One of the most anticipated new Apple series of 2024 is the crime thriller Presumed Innocent, which will be released on June 14, 2024. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Chicagoan chief deputy prosecutor Rusty Sabich, who becomes a suspect in the murder case that he has a hand in investigating. Gyllenhaal leads a star-studded ensemble cast which also includes Ruth Negga, Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel, Peter Sarsgaard, O-T Fagbenle, and Renate Reinsve. Presumed Innocent, which is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow, is expected to be one of the greatest new Apple series of 2024.
