Just six months post her rollercoaster engagement to Summer House co-star Carl Radke, Lindsay Hubbard is flipping the script on moving forward, saying that she’s stronger on her own and making strides to stand on her own two feet.
Catching up with PEOPLE, the 37-year-old PR maven shared, “I’m all about the hustle right now, super busy and loving it. After last year’s whirlwind, I thought my life was heading in one direction, but life had other plans. So, I shifted gears to focus on what success means to me personally, and you know what? That’s perfectly fine by me.”
Lindsay’s stronger than yesterday
Lindsay has big dreams on her mind, from owning a home to launching a business, all while keeping a keen eye on her financial future. “Success is my main squeeze these days,” she admits, reflecting on how her definition of success has evolved over the years. “Back in my early 20s, it was all about nailing that PR career in New York. Then, launching my own PR firm was the big goal in my early 30s, making a name for myself in the toughest city around.”
But as the mid-30s rolled in, Lindsay’s vision of success took a turn towards personal milestones. “I was all ready for the whole package: engagement, marriage, babies,” she shares. However, the sudden end to her engagement with Radke last September forced her to reassess.
“I realized being engaged or married, having babies, that’s not all there is to me. I’m driven, I’ve got a strong work ethic, and I’m all about finding a compatible, happy, healthy relationship whenever that comes.”
For now, Lindsay is all in on achieving individual financial success. “Standing on my own two feet makes me feel strong, not having to carry someone else along,” she says firmly.
Among her current projects is Hubb House, her brand-new rental property in Nashville, Tennessee.
Since purchasing it in January, Lindsay has been pouring her heart and soul into getting it guest-ready for next month. “Think ‘Summer House’ vibes, but sans the camera crew,” she quips, excited for people to experience it.
Summer House Season 8 continues Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
