Leverage: Redemption
‘s move to Prime Video could attract a bigger audience due to the platform’s success with action thrillers.
Two main characters will return for Leverage: Redemption season 3. The revival, which premiered in July 2021, continues the premise of the original Leverage by following reformed criminals as they use their unique skills to help ordinary people fight back against corporate and governmental injustices. Nearly a year after the season 2 finale, it was announced that Leverage: Redemption was renewed for season 3 and would move to Prime Video from its previous home of Amazon Freevee.
TVLine now confirms that revival cast members Noah Wyle and Aleyse Shannon will reprise their respective roles as former lawyer Harry Wilson and hacker Breanna Casey in Leverage: Redemption season 3. The update likewise confirms that the entire team will be back, including Gina Bellman, Christian Kane, Beth Riesgraf, and Aldis Hodge. However, Hodge will continue to appear in a recurring capacity after his character Alec Hardison left the Leverage team. Not appearing in the Leverage: Redemption is original series star Timothy Hutton, who was also absent during the first two seasons.

What To Know Before Leverage: Redemption Season 3
Leverage: Redemption Season 3 Began Filming In January 2024
Leverage: Redemption will feature a significant change behind the scenes. John Rogers, the co-creator of the original Leverage, will serve as showrunner and executive producer for the third installment. He’d previously been a consulting producer on the revival. The story is also poised to pick up where the previous installment left off, with Sophie starting to let go of her guilt. Even though the Leverage: Redemption season 2 finale has a note of hope, there are unanswered questions.
Arthur (Damian O’Hare) and Ramsey (Ralph Brown) are under arrest, though they’re crafty criminals who could easily escape. Those stories could pick up steam if the show is renewed. That means the team’s goal of taking down Arthur is ultimately unsuccessful, but it sets the table for an eventful season 3.
Why Timothy Hutton Isn’t In The Leverage Reboot, Redemption
Leverage is returning for a revival series with the original team of con artists, but Timothy Hutton will not be returning as mastermind Nate Ford.
Leverage: Redemption‘s move to Prime Video is also significant for the revival. The streamer has found a lot of success with action thrillers, such as Reacher, Jack Ryan, and the Bosch sequel series. The upcoming addition fits nicely given its premise and caper drama style, and it could find a bigger audience considering Prime Video’s wide reach.
Leverage: Redemption
and the original series are both available to stream on Amazon Freevee.
