Three Places to Travel to Find the Perfect Rainbow

Some of nature’s wonders attract visitors from all over the globe all year round. Whether it’s the Amazon, covering a large section of South America, the Grand Canyon in the USA, or even Table Mountain in South Africa, you can be sure that they’ll be busy with tourists. In this article, we’re going to send nature lovers in a different direction and discuss the illusive rainbow-outlining three destinations that give rainbow lovers a great chance of spotting one.

Ireland

Ireland is synonymous with rain, so it makes sense that it’s here where you will have a great chance of finding a rainbow while surrounded by lush green countryside and everything else that Ireland offers. The Irish tradition behind the rainbow is just as famous as the rainbows themselves.

This natural wonder is immortalized in countless television series and movies, while more recently, it has made its way into the gambling world in the form of games like Rainbow Riches. These slot games allow gamers to bet in a rainbow-themed game as if searching for a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, as the story goes in Irish folklore. Such is the changeability of the weather in the country; dark skies can be replaced by sunshine within minutes, giving visitors a great chance to spot a rainbow. Whether a pot of gold awaits at the end of it is a different matter.

Iguazu Falls

Located on the borders of Paraguay, Argentina, and Brazil, these falls are unique; they’re visible from three separate countries because of the number of falls that make up the national park. Opinions differ on which side of the falls is better or from which country, but no matter where you are, you’re bound to see a rainbow.

As the largest waterfall system in the world, tourists can dedicate at least two days to seeing it from different sides, thereby maximizing their chances of rainbow spotting. To maximize their luxury, tourists can stay at one of the many 5-star hotels near the town or even travel further into any of the three South American countries.

Kauai, Hawaii

It would be remiss of us not to mention a state that is named after the subject of the article. The Rainbow State has even come out on top of a study to find the best place worldwide to find rainbows. The abundance of rainbows here is due to its longitudinal location, while, just like in Ireland, there is a cultural significance to rainbows acting as pathways connecting the sky and earth. It seems that for visitors who make the trip to Hawaii, the likelihood of seeing a rainbow is quite high.

Rainbows can light up a day when it feels like the rain may never stop, while for others, it’s a sign of good luck or a brighter future. If you want to find some in the wild, then these three destinations should definitely be on top of your list.
