Josh is the CEO of a modeling agency who featured in season 2 of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off as Natalie Mordovtseva’s boyfriend. Josh and Natalie were together for over two years while she was still married to Mike Youngquist. Jett spoke to 12News about surviving the crash that killed his friend. Jett and his friend Jaxson Elliot were on their way home from snowboarding on February 4 in Flagstaff. Jett and Jaxson’s car hit a guardrail on I-17 near Cordes Junction. The guardrail speared into the car leading to Jaxson’s immediate death. ”I was laying back and all I remember was just a big impact,” Jett said. Jett revealed that the whole guardrail was “stuck” on his body and couldn’t get up. Jett said that if he were sitting up, the guard would have killed him.

Josh’s ex-wife and Jett’s mom, Candice Mishler, told the publication that she was tracking her son’s location when the accident happened. Candice noticed that the car stopped near Cordes Junction, after which it refreshed and showed her Jett was at HonorHealth Deer Valley, which is a medical center in north Phoenix, Arizona. Candice was told that the odds of Jett losing both her legs were high as they prepared her for the next steps. Jett’s leg was amputated, and he has undergone seven surgeries so far. Jett is currently placed in an inpatient rehab facility.
“They told me he had a 5% chance of survival,” Candice explained.
Josh‘s son Jett spoke about how his recovery process involves a lot of physical and occupational therapy. Jett had to take therapy for three hours every day. Meanwhile, Candice is just glad that Jett is alive. Jett’s medical team believes that his recovery, which is taking place at a rapid rate, is nothing short of a miracle. Jett is thankful to everyone who prayed for him. He now wants to go see his friend Jaxson’s family once he leaves the facility.
Candice revealed that Jett’s goal for next winter is to get back to snowboarding even though he has lost his leg. Thousands of 90 Day: The Single Life viewers prayed for Jett’s speedy recovery. Several students had gathered at Jett’s school a few days after the crash to remember Jaxson and pray for Jett. Josh had taken to Instagram to ask his followers to donate and raise money for his son’s treatment. The GoFundMe has raised over $34,000 from its $50,000 goal so far.
