A number of former Shadowhunters stars are reuniting for a new project. Based on Cassandra Clare’s young adult book series The Mortal Instruments, the supernatural TV show follows Clary Fray, a young woman who gets dragged into the supernatural world of mythical creatures. The popular Freeform series, which ran from 2016 to 2019, starred Katherine McNamara as Clary, and she was joined by Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Matthew Daddario, Emeraude Toubia, Isaiah Mustafa, and Harry Shum Jr.

Now, almost five years after the teen drama concluded, it appears Sherwood, McNamara, and Daddario are reuniting for a new movie. McNamara recently posted a photo on her Instagram account teasing the collaboration. Check out the post below:

In the post, the trio can be seen holding up copies of a script, which was written by Daddario, for a movie titled Firework. No further details were provided, though McNamara wrote in the caption, “Something fire is in the works…

What Happened To The Shadowhunter Cast After It Ended

During its run, Shadowhunters garnered a significant following. Even though critics were not fully sold on it, the general audience fell in love with the portrayal of Clare’s complex but lovable Shadowhunters characters. That’s why the news of its cancelation was met with outrage, with some highly dedicated fans going great lengths to try to save the show. However, following the conclusion of the series, its cast members have gone on to feature in other notable shows and movies.

Shortly after Shadowhunters wrapped up, McNamara went on to play a recurring role as Mia Smoak in The CW’s Arrow and Flash shows. She also appeared in the Western television series Walker Independence, where she played the lead role of Abby Walker. Daddario, who played Alec Lightwood, went on to play Scooter in Why Women Kill season 2, while Sherwood, the actor who portrayed Clary’s love interest Jace, has featured in the legal drama Partner Track.

Other cast members of Shadowhunters have also featured in notable shows and movies. Since the conclusion of the show, Mustafa, who played Luke Garroway, has appeared in shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Black-ish, while Shum Jr., who plays the powerful warlock Magnus Bane, has also featured in Grey’s Anatomy and A24’s hit movie Everything Everywhere All At Once.
