Is Gizelle Bryant thinking about moving out of the Potomac area?
In Season 9, Episode 15 of The Real Housewives of Potomac, Gizelle told her three daughters that she was buying an “investment home” near Adore’s new school. Adore attends her mom’s alma mater, Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia.
“Because when she visits the hotels suck, so she has to buy a house,” Adore informed her older sister Grace. “That’s what she told me.”
Gizelle Bryant is an empty nester for the first time
Gizelle has three daughters with her ex, Jamal Bryant. Viewers have watched Grace and twins Adore and Angel grow up over the years on RHOP. While Grace was returning for her sophomore year at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Angel and Adore were also leaving home.
As Adore prepared to start at Hampton University, Angel was heading off to HBCU icon Spelman College in Atlanta. But rather than moping alone at home, Gizelle was making plans to be a frequent visitor.
“Mom, what are you going to do when … we leave?” Adore asked. Gizelle’s going to have to take up some new hobbies. Hopefully, something other than trying to stir up trouble in her castmates’ marriages. Maybe she’ll have more time to hang out with bestie Robyn Dixon.
“I’m going to visit you all!” Gizelle cheerily responded. “What you gonna do when you pop up in the party, and your mom is already in there?”
While Gizelle was busy practicing her dance moves, Adore attempted to lay some ground rules. She made it clear that Mom could only show up when she was invited.
“Mom, if I invite you it’s fun and cool,” Adore explained. “If you show up there, it’s weird.”
Though Gizelle thought it would be “epic” to hit the clubs with her daughters, the girls weren’t convinced.
“They’ll be like who’s this 50-year-old at the club,” Grace laughed. “That’s really embarrassing.”
“So, I can go with you though?” Gizelle asked. “That would be kind of fun … We’re going to the club together!”
Grace offers advice on boys to her younger siblings
After hearing that Gizelle was buying a home close to Adore, Grace asked, “What about me though?” She talks a good game, but she still wants to spend time with mom.
“I’m getting to you,” Gizelle said, before shaking hands on their own possible “investment deal.”
Being the older sister, Grace was also ready to advise her younger sisters on their own independent journey. She had a “whole list” of notes ready for them.
“A lot of these guys are gonna approach you,” Grace told the twins. “They’re like itching for girls. Just be aware.” Now that they’ll be living on their own, they no longer have to “sneak in boys” when mom’s out of town.
But when Grace went a little too deep and warned her sisters not to do too much research into potential suitors, ’cause “God has it on lock,” Gizelle shut it down.
“Okay, Grace, stop,” she said.
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
