90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days Season 7 has been a wild ride. This season featured eight couples, some of whom had more fleshed-out stories than others. The one thing these couples all had in common, however, was their international journeys to find true love. Season 7 featured several successful couples, while other relationships instantly fell apart.
As with every 90 Day Fiancé season, the main cast members weren’t the only ones who made the show memorable. The supporting cast members also played an important part, helping their friends and family to navigate their respective journeys. While Season 7 included many memorable supporting cast members, these five truly carried the season.
Mr. Arc
Mr. Arc was a key figure in the story of Niles Valentine and Matilda Nti this season. Niles flew to Ghana to meet Matilda for the first time, although he didn’t originally plan to get married on the trip. After meeting Matilda’s family, however, the plan quickly changed. Community elder Mr. Arc stepped in as Niles’ father per Ghanaian tradition and insisted that Niles marry Matilda immediately.
Throughout Season 7, Mr. Arc was there for Niles as a fatherly figure. Mr. Arc explained Ghanaian culture to Niles and even helped him come up with enough money for Matilda’s bride price. Despite Niles’ real parents not being there for his big day, Mr. Arc made up for it. While he was a little strict at times, Mr. Arc was there for Niles despite not knowing him well. Mr. Arc’s wicked sense of humor was the cherry on top, please bring this man back TLC!
Rory
Another important supporting cast member from Season 7 is Rory, Veah Netherton’s ex-boyfriend. When Veah was nervous about flying to South Africa alone to meet Sunny Mahdi, Rory volunteered to join her. Veah explained that Rory was experienced with travel and admitted that she wasn’t sure she could make the trip without him. As expected, Rory’s presence quickly caused problems for Veah and Sunny. However, after meeting a few times, Rory and Sunny were able to become cordial.
Rory played a very prominent role in Veah and Sunny’s storyline. Producers even included him in introduction shots before segments, which is something supporting cast members are rarely a part of. I’d be surprised if we don’t see Rory again, given how important he was in the season’s edit. Perhaps Rory will make his next appearance on 90 Day: The Single Life Season 5!
Victoria
While Rayne Fernandez and Chidi Ikpeamaeze weren’t on Season 7 for very long, their story nonetheless left a lasting impression. Chidi made history as the first blind 90 Day Fiancé cast member. After five years of online dating, Rayne flew to Nigeria to meet Chidi in person. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long for Rayne and Chidi’s relationship to fall apart after meeting. Rayne got into a huge fight with Chidi’s sister Victoria, although it wasn’t clear why she was so upset with her. Victoria had welcomed Rayne into her home and had done her best to accommodate her.
Even after Rayne disrespected Victoria, the latter told her brother that she wanted him to be happy. She expressed that she would support him in whatever he wanted to do, even if she didn’t agree. This shows what a great sister Victoria is, especially given that in Nigerian culture older siblings are respected as parents. Victoria dealt with a tricky situation, but her positive character nonetheless shined through. She wins 90 Day Fiancé sister of the year in our book!
Shay and Cruz
The last supporting cast members who helped to make Season 7 so memorable were Shay and Cruz. The duo are Tigerlily Abdelfattah’s aesthetician and hairstylist respectively. Shay and Cruz joined Tigerlily during her trip to Jordan to meet her husband, Adnan Abdelfattah. They were the only guests from Tigerlily’s friends and family at their wedding as well. While they went to Jordan to support Tigerlily emotionally, they took their jobs seriously as well. Before touching down in Jordan, Shay and Cruz were sure to get Tigerlily all glammed up on the plane.
Throughout Tigerlily and Adnan’s segments, Shay and Cruz were great friends to the former. While they had doubts about Adnan, they nonetheless were there for their friend. Shay and Cruz were a fun duo to watch and at times were arguably even more entertaining than Tigerlily and Adnan.
