Ginny & Georgia went in many unexpected directions in seasons 1 and 2, and the series will undoubtedly have more shocking surprises in season 3. After Ginny & Georgia season 2’s ending, everything has been upended for the characters. During her wedding to Paul Randolph (Scott Porter), Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey) was arrested for the murder of Tom Fuller (Vincent Legault). Georgia’s children, Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) were left devastated as they watched their mother be taken away in handcuffs from what was supposed to be a joyous night.
Ginny & Georgia season 3’s story will see the characters grappling with the fallout of this arrest, which not only impacts Georgia, Ginny, Austin, and Paul, but the entire town of Wellsbury, Massachusetts. Georgia finding a way out of prison seems inevitable, especially since the series has already been renewed for season 4. Outside of this, there is little telling what might happen to Ginny & Georgia‘s characters, and their stories could go in truly wild directions.

Zion’s Girlfriend Will Help Release Georgia From Prison
Simone Is A Criminal Defense Lawyer
With Paul being the mayor, he undoubtedly has connections to a good lawyer he can hire to help Georgia. This is the expected route for the show to take, but it would be more compelling for Georgia’s ticket out of prison to be her former boyfriend’s current girlfriend. Ginny’s father, Zion Miller (Nathan Mitchell), introduced his new girlfriend, Simone (Vinessa Antoine), in season 2, and it was mentioned that she is a criminal defense lawyer.

Ginny & Georgia Star’s Comments Have Me Even More Worried About What’s Coming In Season 3
Ginny & Georgia season 3 is poised to put the Millers through the wringer after season 2’s ending, and one star’s comments have me worried already.
While it would be unorthodox for a lawyer to help her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend get out of jail, that may be what happens in Ginny & Georgia season 3. Even though they are no longer together, Zion still cares deeply about Georgia, and he does not want her, Ginny, or Austin to suffer. It may make Simone uncomfortable, and cause her relationship with Zion to become more complicated, but Simone may be Georgia’s best hope. Knowing how much the case means to Zion may give Simone more incentive to see Georgia exonerated.

Paul Will Learn Everything About Georgia’s Past
He Does Not Know Her Darkest Secrets Yet
In season 2, Georgia revealed many of her secrets to Paul. However, Paul still does not know about several of Georgia’s most important secrets, including how she killed some of her past romantic partners. Paul still agreed to marry Georgia after learning about her embezzling money from the mayor’s office, but there is a reason that Georgia did not confess to the murders she had committed.

Ginny & Georgia may never cross that line, but it would be intriguing to see the show take that leap, and to have Paul learn all of Georgia’s secrets in season 3. This would be the ultimate test of Georgia and Paul’s relationship. It is one thing to stand beside her if he believes she has been falsely accused of murder. It is another matter to stand beside her if he knows about how she has killed in the past.

Georgia And Joe Will Start Dating
The Series Has Teased A Potential Romance Between Them
Despite Georgia’s relationship with Paul, there are many moments that suggest Georgia and Joe (Raymond Ablack) belong together. They have a connection that goes back years, long before Ginny settled down in Wellsbury with Ginny and Austin. He clearly adores her and they enjoy being together. Since season 2 ended with Georgia getting married to Paul, and her focus will be on getting out of prison and clearing her name, Georgia and Joe dating is probably not on the table for season 3.
It could be refreshing to speed up the timeline from what fans expect, especially after the more than two-year hiatus between seasons 2 and 3.
If Paul and Georgia’s relationship ends, though, possibly because of Paul learning Georgia’s final secrets, she and Joe could find a way together before the season ends. With season 4 already renewed, there is still time to continue Georgia and Joe’s will-they-won’t-they dynamic and to save their relationship for the show’s endgame. It could be refreshing to speed up the timeline from what fans expect, especially after the more than two-year hiatus between seasons 2 and 3.

Nick Will Sacrifice Himself To Help Georgia
He Can Help Georgia Instead Of Fully Turning Against Her
Nick (Daniel Beirne) has worked closely with Paul and Georgia and has been a good friend to them. When the private investigator Gabriel Cordova (Alex Mallari Jr.), who had been pretending to be Nick’s boyfriend, Jesse, revealed dark secrets about Georgia’s past to Nick, everything changed. Nick was absent from Paul and Georgia’s wedding, and it seems likely that he was involved with her being arrested on charges of killing Tom. If this is confirmed to be the case, Nick is poised to continue going down a path that will make him more of an antagonist to Georgia.

Ginny & Georgia Admits A Harsh Reality That Gilmore Girls Never Could
Ginny & Georgia and Gilmore Girls have a surprising amount in common, but the former acknowledges a big problem that the latter never could.
That being said, Ginny & Georgia‘s question about what happens to Nick may be more interesting if he has a change of heart before the season ends and sacrifices himself to save Georgia. This does not mean sacrificing his life, but it may involve him taking the fall for Tom’s death or for other crimes Georgia is accused of, which could land Nick in prison and end his career in politics. Once Nick comes to understand why Georgia committed her various murders, he may see things differently, and be willing to help the woman he once considered to be a friend.

A Main Character Will Die
Some Characters May Not Survive Season 3
There were many shocking moments in Ginny & Georgia season 2, but all those moments would pale in comparison with a main character dying in season 3. After being shot by his own biological son, Austin, in season 2, the abusive Gil Timmins (Aaron Ashmore) may be out for blood this season. Ginny, Georgia, or Austin dying seems highly unlikely and unnecessarily polarizing, especially with season 4 still to come.
Ginny & Georgia season 3 comes to Netflix on June 5.
Paul, Marcus Baker (Felix Mallard), Joe, or another main character could be killed, though, if it makes sense for the story that is being told in season 3. Beyond Gil, Georgia has made other enemies who could go after her and her loved ones. A main character’s death would raise the stakes even further and provide new trauma for the surviving characters. It may seem too far for the show, but Ginny & Georgia is a story that has thoughtfully handled difficult topics like abuse and self-harm, and the narrative may get even darker in season 3.
