Apple Vision Pro, iPhone SE 4, & more announcements incoming

Apple Vision Pro announcement coming, but no mention of iPads

Apple’s 2025 is about to get busy with impending product launches, and new leaked info suggests some news big and small will be shared over the next week, which culminates in the iPhone SE 4 launch.

Things have been quiet product-wise for Apple in 2025 so far, but the predicted busy start of the year has been set in motion by the Powerbeats Pro 2 release on Tuesday. The iPhone SE 4 could be revealed any day now, and the M4 MacBook Air is still expected in the coming weeks.

According to a social media post from Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing a few impending announcements. The iPhone SE 4 is still on track to be announced by February 21, but that’s not all that’s coming between now and then.

New iPhone SE is still imminent and should be announced by next week, when the company is holding product briefings. Tomorrow there’s a smaller announcement. For Friday, Apple Vision Pro reps are reaching out to press about an announcement to come. M4 MacBook Air within weeks.

The post states Apple will be holding product briefings for the iPhone SE 4 in the next week, so the announcement has to take place before then. A separate “smaller” announcement is taking place Wednesday, but there’s no hint as to what that could be about.

The Friday Apple Vision Pro press briefings won’t likely be public that day, as it’s about an upcoming announcement. It seems unlikely Apple would be prepping for a new hardware release, so it may be something related to the operating system or the numerous Apple apps that are not yet native.

If it isn’t apps or a media partnership, it could be related to the adoption of third-party VR controllers, starting with PlayStation VR 2. That integration wouldn’t need to wait for WWDC and could come as soon as visionOS 2 .4 .

Finally, the mention of the MacBook Air with M4 lines up with previous reporting about the product coming around March. Though “weeks” could mean anything through April at this point.

Oddly enough, there was no mention of impending iPad or iPad Air updates. Rumors have pointed to these products arriving sometime in the first half of 2025 for a while, and their omission is odd — or perhaps it was a character count limit.
