DON’T NOD Studio, the creator of Life Is Strange and Jusant, has announced that it’ll be publishing a new game from developers Tiny Bull Studio, titled The Lonesome Guild. The two studios will be working together to bring players a new tale of friendship, loneliness, and finding strength in each other. Players will take the role of a spirit named Ghost as they search for a group of six unlikely heroes tasked with saving the world.
The Lonesome Guild was announced during today’s ID@Xbox showcase, along with several other exciting indie reveals that can be seen on Xbox Wire. Unlike the studio’s previous titles, the new game will be a “whimsical action-RPG full of heart” featuring a top-down perspective, according to the Xbox Wire reveal. The Lonesome Guild is set to release sometime in fall 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (on Steam).

Save The World With The Power Of Friendship
The little floating spirit Ghost acts as the protagonist in The Lonesome Guild but the spirit isn’t alone on the adventure. As players progress through the story, they’ll meet and recruit a group of six unique characters, each with their own strengths and areas of expertise. Players will be able to “switch seamlessly” between the six characters to solve puzzles and overcome tricky challenges.

The Best Order For Playing The Life Is Strange Games
Life is Strange has some games that are directly connected and others that can stand alone. So, what’s the best order to play the series in?
Led by Ghost, the group of misfits will work together to unravel the mysteries of Etere, a world that’s shrouded in a mist that’s causing its residents to forget their memories. Players will get to know each of their animal-like companions, learning their unique features and motivations through tough battles and peaceful fireside chats.
Our Take: The Lonesome Guild Looks Like It Will Be Cute But Tough
It’s Like A Cute Version Of Hades
The Lonesome Guild looks adorable with its charming cutesy style and whimsical animal companions. However, the cute exterior may be hiding a more challenging gameplay than players might expect. From the little I can see in the reveal trailer, the game looks like it combines elements of other aRPGs like Hades for a dynamic and versatile battle system.
The game will utilize all six characters in battle and puzzle solving, so switching on the fly will likely be essential to competent combat. It seems that it will also give you a chance to set up combos for some devastating and fun attacks. So despite the cozy aesthetics and wholesome storytelling, I’m hoping the game also delivers a punch in terms of gameplay.
Looking cute doesn’t necessarily mean The Lonesome Guild won’t be a challenging ride for action RPG fans. Although this title might be different from what fans of Life Is Strange studio DON’T NOD have come to expect, the project from indie developer Tiny Bull certainly looks promising.
