Fans of The Boys
still have a bit of a wait to see how the final season of the Prime Video comic book series comes to its bloody and devastating conclusion, and with no promises being made about who will live and who will die, any information is gladly accepted with open arms. Although the latest tease about Season 5 does not give fans any pointers about the upcoming episodes, it does give Billy Butcher fans a reason to smile.
followed up a post earlier in the week from costar Jack Quaid, to let everyone know that Butcher is back and ready to roll. Sharing an image of himself in full Butcher mode behind the wheel of a car, Urban certainly knows how to please his fans, and while it is not exactly news to know that Butcher is in action again, it is certainly enough to stoke The Boys’ fandom just a little more.

Production is already underway on the fifth and final season of ‘The Boys.’
Urban shared the post with the comment, “Oi…I’m on my way. Season 5.” A simple enough message, and one that you can almost hear being said in that smug, drawling accent of Butcher. With filming well underway on the final season, we can expect plenty more teases in the coming months, and the more, the merrier.
‘The Boys’ Could Change Due to Real World Events…and That Is Fine By Eric Kripke
The Boys is a series that began life as a gory, brutal, and scathing satire of the superhero genre, which included a little bit of real-world parallels with sub-plots of government corruption and world-domineering plans. However, over the years, the series has become more political and more in line with world events than anyone intended.
Speaking on this subject, showrunner Eric Kripke previously said he has no fears of having to make changes to the series finale if things turn out to be a little too on the nose against what is happening in American politics right now. Having already had to make changes in the past, Kripke said:
“…I mean, look – things adjust all the time. So, that doesn’t really scare us. That’s pretty par for the course. You’re always rewriting these things right up until the day before they shoot, and sometimes, the day they shoot. So, we’re used to changing things as the world changes – but yes, we definitely adjust scripts as new events come to light.”
The Boys is a show that takes no prisoners and very little is off-limits when it comes to… well anything. Kripke has already warned fans that no one is safe in this final season, and while there are many shows that might have their showrunner proclaiming this only to go back on their promise when the time comes, no one believes this will be the case with The Boys. The only real question is how many of the characters fans have followed for the last six years will meet a grisly end in this final chapter.
