You can’t miss this pretty village in Croatia and you won’t be disappointed when you arrive at its perfect blue waters.
Primošten is a small yet incredible place to visit in the country. It was once an island but today has been reclaimed via a narrow man-made isthmus.
The quaint village is home to incredible beaches, an exciting old town and famous vineyards.
Even though Primošten is relatively small, it is home to 20 beaches which tourists often enjoy exploring by bike.
One popular choice is Plaža Velika Raduča beach which has been called “paradise” by one visitor.
Another said: “I loved it so much I’m coming back next year.”
If you plan to visit, you should take a trip to Our Lady Of Loretto Statue which is home to beautiful views.
A visitor on Tripadvisor said: “The statue is beautiful and the views are outstanding. There is a bit of an uphill walk but it doesn’t last long. My only complaint was that the shop didn’t have replicas of this specific statue. That said, the pictures we took were amazing! Worth the trip!”
Another penned: “The statue itself is beautiful, but the view is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend coming here to enjoy the sunset over Primošten and nearby villages. Also, there’s a bar, so you can enjoy coffee or beer and there’s also an icecream for your kids. Must visit while in Primošten!”
You should also go for a wander around the Old Town which is filled with cafes, restaurants and independent shops.
As you stroll around the bustling streets, you’ll be able to enjoy the local culture and traditional historic architecture of the area.
The best way to get there is to fly to Split which takes around four hours from London.
From Split, you can get to Primošten easily by car which takes about an hour.
Some travellers may choose to stay in Split and visit the village from there for a day trip while others may choose to do things the other way around.
If you’re looking for a weekend away in Europe, this could be the perfect place for you to visit.
