The latest trailer has been released for Until Dawn. Until Dawn was originally a Sony-produced horror video game that was released in 2015. It introduced choice as a key element of its story, as players are allowed to select options that will lead to different results for the characters, including various death sequences. Now, the game is being adapted into a feature-length horror film by director David F. Sandberg. The Until Dawn movie features a leading cast including Ella Rubin, Odessa A’zion, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, Belmont Cameli, Peter Stormare, and Maia Mitchell.
Now, Sony Pictures Entertainment has released the latest trailer for Until Dawn.
The trailer opens dramatically, with a character’s bloody hand crawling against the ground before a knife-wielding assailant descends their weapon onto her. An image of a sand timer is then seen, dialing back in time as the trailer shifts between images of gears and glimpses at a derelict house. Narration reveals that there is “a place stuck in time” as increasingly gory images are seen and the words “stuck in time” are repeated, again and again.
What This Means For The Until Dawn Movie
The Trailer Features Game Easter Eggs
This is not the first Until Dawn trailer to showcase how the film will adapt the game’s mechanic of choice. The previous trailer helped establish that the movie will see its main characters die multiple times after being given new chances when they fail to make it “until dawn.” This latest trailer further emphasizes how the video game adaptation film will play with time. It shows time moving in reverse, with scenes being wound back and characters running backwards, as well as dialogue being repeated.

The trailer also showcases how the film will pay homage to the video game itself. The trailer also features creepy clown imagery, including a ragdoll, which is reminiscent of the 2016 spinoff game Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.
